Would anyone know anything of this detector ... it looks the Chinese might have finally got around to making a knock-off of the Minelab GPX4500.

After doing a bit more digging to find any additional information about this Chinese manufactured Metal Detector I found this page

Appears to be just a VLF detector in a hip-mount box. Most likely they are trying to score easy money in the African gold rush. The control box even says "Made in AUS"!

You were right ... I contacted the importer and they said it is a VLF!

Now the only thing that appeals about this detector is the depth claims. These detectors are inexpensive and this might prompt someone to purchase one to try. I might even buy one myself even though I much prefer PI MDs.

I have one of these, and dpeth is like 1.5 meters for big items of iron, it can do like 13 inches on a ring, Gold rings for descrimination havent tried it yet, but will give more reveiw and oh yeah if you do decide to buy it, the coil is not long so you have to secure the wiring cause coils can break easy from to much pull.
