Hello dear All
I have a crashed GPX 4500 from minelab, i opened it and think the parts (attached, showed with circle ) is failed.
I am going to replace them with new parts, but i can not read their values.
Is anyone that has experienced with the parts before and tell me their values?...

recently purchased a GDX 8000 (Gpx 4500 Clone) & as suspected the quality was appalling, Shafts, coils, accessories etc unusable & need replacing , AC battery charger was Dead on arrival etc.
The detector itself once hooked up to some real coils did work though. ...

The magic word is Deanol DMAE , the stuff they use to treat arthritis, dissolve DMEA into Methyl Alcohol, don?t go crazy with it as it eats plastic as well. Test it first as the coating may of been formulated differently over the years.

I've got problem with a Sovereign GT.

At the beginning, the sensitivity pot was swifting the treshold setting. By increasing the sens, the treshold became unreachable.

Got rust on power supply connections, I've cleared it by resoldering, and now everything...

Hi All
I just purchased Minelab SD2000 , apparently it has a problem with low sensitivity . The detector doesn't have any mods done and looks like never been opened. Tried different coils, even a new one. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this problem and can help. Never done...

The audio output of my 3500 does not work.

perhaps, power (audio) cable may have inserted it incorrectly,

White coating on the PCB, the PCB can remove without causing any harm.

I am making an attempt to build my own Sunray X-1 probe for my Minelab Explorer XS. I don't have one to compare to so I'm working off of images and data I scrounged from the internet.

I bought this coil on ebay. Connected to excal, works well, in room.
When i first time went into water with it, this little coil get some water in his belly and gone crazy. :/
It is filled with air or something that is lighter than water, floats.
