Welcome huge world - the 3.wheel of the 1m Jeohunter coil is ready to go!

Finally the real "high-efficiency" treasure-hunting can start:

Now with the 3rd wheel its possible to drag the coil the broad side over the ground.

The idea how to attach the 3rd wheel was simple and perfect - using just some very hard wooden board for the wheel-fork
and improve the strenght there, but usual it's only around 4-12 kilogram weight force - so no big deal.

Depending if the 3rd wheel is attached below or over the coil (both is easy possible), the coils ground-distance is ca. 5cm to 15cm.
This is perfect, depending how flat etc. the surface is. And as it has been tested already, its no problem to search at
sensitivity 80-90 if this huge coil is almost directly over the floor. If it would be higher just a loss of depth would be the result.
At very stony etc. regions or inside some kind of jungle still the possibility with 2 holding belts exists - the usual 2 persons solution.
But sometimes its better to do such work on your own, not all the time somebody else has time etc.
Of course to dig really deep and large holes someone to help would be great, and with this coil I will go for the real deep and huge stuff.

In our modern days of china-plastics such a "scooter" could be produced very simple and cheap and perhaps Makro Group will see
the fantastic possibilities such a device offers and includes it to his profi-package which also includes the 1m coil.

If the non-metallic pole and the coil-cable is long enough or extensionable, such a "highspeed-searchcoil" also could be attached behind a car or bike.
That way flat huge regions are open to real treasure-hunting and discovering new promising hunting sites will come in easy reach.

With this construction now per instance even deep sunken larger war-remainings can be found just by driving around fields, plains or whatever.

This coil is sufficent to find already 3-5cm (1-2'') small stuff near the surface but the real power starts with around 10cm finds and below 50cm depth.
Of course everything with discrimination and also cavity can be found.

Not to forget: treasure-hunting this way is much more relaxing! Its like a walk in the park and dragging some lightweight cart behind.
Even some drink-bottles and food in plastic-boxes can be put on top of the coil so the backpack or whatever remains lightweight -
    at least in the beginning.

And what I sometimes like the most is..... discrimination by size! That way someone can fully concetrate on the "huge finds".
Many of them still are crap but its still much faster to find the real precious big stuff and those finds which are not reachable
by the usual sized metal-detectors (with coils up to 45cm) at all.

Too bad at the moment its deepest winter here but I'll present you the first test-results in spring.
Good luck and let's hope that this new great "hunting-method" incl. whats needed will be available soon for everybody.

Hi and thanx for the interesting posting.

It confirms that even beginners already can detect very deep stuff but of course this is just the beginning, now, a little bit later you will find much more and deeper stuff.

    > very wet red sand

I guess this will be indeed a very compact and EM-fields shielding material. Not just because of the mineralization, but also because of the high mass (weight) this kind of soil has.

To get best results, you need to get some experience about the signals while hunting on sensitivity 9, slowly and if possible very close to the ground.
At the beginning time you may think there is a find because of the sound but at high sensitivity lifting or lowering the coil some inches or cm can cause such signals if the ground is high mineralized and therefore you must learn to doublecheck the signal by reseting the Jeohunter a half meter near the problable find and move again the coil slowly and at the same distance over that area to find out if it comes really from a metal-object.

This is a non-motion circuit therefore it is always new "stable adjusted and fixed" by pressing the reset button to the small "no signal"-window inbetween cavity- and metal-alert so you must train a bit to stay within this window if no buried metal is nearby by keeping the same coil-ground distance and by pressing the reset-button from time to time so the Jeohunter can work with the changed ground conditions.

The depth scan is very reliable - we have tested this many times already - the only thing is:
If the objects are smaller as 10cm x 10cm, even if they are 4cm thick and 15cm long, you may get much higher depth results.

If you depth-scan a buried coin at 10cm the Jeohunter may show 40cm depth because it only can see the weak signal and assuming it would be 10x10cm in size (this value would be for quadratic metal-sheet) usually it must be located deeper. It is also important that the coil is 10cm about the ground while you measure the input size with the coil-edges, needed for the depth scan. Many times just input 10cm 10cm or 20cm 20cm if the signal is larger and you get a good depth-scan-result.

Of course if the ground is very high mineralized or compact ("compressed" if compared to usual ground) the depth scan results may be different somehow.
And sometimes the steel detection goes into the area of gold, because this depends alot on the size and shape of the object.

For this wet red sand region I recommend that you will use Ground Balance value minus 100.
Try some tests how fast you can sweep the coil without wrong or erratic beeps (this also depends how flat is the region there, if its a beach it would be perfect), start with Sensitivity 7 first but after 1-2h raise it to 8 and after another short time try to hunt with sensitivity 9 there.

And I recommend you start with iron-on mode because it is 25% deeper than iron-off mode depending on the kind of metal and for very hard ground conditions 25% can be alot. If you found something and you have rechecked that it is really a find you can switch to iron off mode at this spot and find out if its still detectable or not. But for the initial learning-curve it is always better if you hunt in all-metal mode because that way you get much more and deeper finds and therefore better learning-experiences.

The absolutly highest strenght the Jeohunter with the standard 45cm coil has for objects from 5cm up and vor very deep stuff.

Finding those graves at the local cemetery may be not a good idea because it depends on the metal- and cavity-values and it could be low if the graves are deep and already broken and therefore with no or only very small cavity. It depends on the ground and depht and how close the graves are located side by side if you can get a high enough contrast value. If there is also this high mineralized red sand you may get good results.

I wish you good luck and ask again if you need more specific info.

If you have a smartphone or digicam you also can film some of your field-tests and post it here.
If you have learned how to master this detector you will be able to locate the most deepest and a bit larger finds possible at all - especially if you also have the 1m coil.

And try to start hunting and moving over larger areas directly very fast - one of the biggest demotivating factors are no finds because the 5x5m beginning area simply doesn't contain any. The more squaremeters you can "scan" with your coil within a short time, the better it is. And it is better to get a rough overview over the whole location first, anyway instead of being sticked to a small area. With this detector you can scan through 10.000 squaremeters within a half day if you have enough muscle-strenght and experience, and this works expecially very simple if you have learned the whirl-wind method by spining around your own axis while slowly walking forwards. The Jeohunters coil is the perfect counterweight for this method and it will become lightweight as a feather that way.

But first start it slowly and simple, the important thing for now is that you can distinct real targets from wrong signals and that you can find out better and better the weak targets.

    Have a great time.

Hello Fundfinder. I recently purchased a JeoHunter and have started field testing. I buried an old axe head (10x15cm) 60cm deep and an old shovel head (30X40cm) 90 cm deep, and had no trouble detecting them with 80% sensitivity, which conforms with the manual specifications. I was very happy with this aspect, even more so when I detected (by chance) a large 1860 brass horse buckle that I had missed using my Minelab Terrascan at 35cm. However, the depth scan results were well out - typically 142 and 147 cm deep respectively. I played around with the width and length measures but they had little bearing on the scan results. I think this may be due to the soil conditions - very wet red sand, almost at field capacity. Could this explain the poor depth results? I assume the algorithms are based on a specific soil type and moisture content far different from those present locally. Every second scan also failed (poor scan message), and while in ferrous off mode I regularly picked up ferrous metal, but only larger pieces and typically caste iron or hoop iron. Scans typically showed these as 'iron', which was pleasing, but also occasionally as precious metal. I appreciate I have some way to go before mastering this MD! My next field test will be to try to locate unmarked graves at the local cemetery. The soil there is dense grey-brown clay. Can you give me any tips that may help find cavities in these soil condition? Regards, A Jeohunter Novice

    hi maimoune

if you have already some reputation and if you are able to provide good work,
all doors might be open for you to find treasures, especially in Algeria where many things go special ways
If you really wanna be a serious treasure-hunter, many possiblilities will be start to be available for you...

Below you can see my newest "invention" - the 1m Jeohunter coil should be moved the broad 1m side along,
that way the large DD signal will reaches a much wider area and you can move over a huge area in a much faster time.

But I found out that at least a 3rd little plastic wheel is need for better weight balancing:
the 2 wheels located inside the front space of the coil and the next 1 or 2 wheels inside the 2nd one.

Its possible with 2 wheels, but that way - if the coil is good balanced - it must be located in the middle and the coil then is 20 cm above the ground.

So perhaps the best would be a directly 4 wheel plastic move-bottom solution - usable broad and lenght side together.

In my case I will check out for a 3rd wheel which is attachable separate.
Anyway - if you own such a 1m coil - don't make your hunting painful - use a wheel device! - and you can hunt over huge areas in no time!

No "simple planned" PI-pipes 1m coil will be able for this. But be careful, the wheel-device has to be a certain level of stability - around 4mm thick plastic
and good connections and tight ropes etc.

If we are lucky, Makro-Detector at Istanbul will produce such a wheel-roller, real improved, even for deserts and stony woods - with broad tires etc.

Its just the beginning anyway - this is also confirmed by persons who are a long time in this business - makro-detektor is on a very good way
and really deserves any serious ment support. They have now already the high sensitive lightweight real large 50cm coils for extra depth and to
cover huge areas in no time, which is very important, too. There are huge square-mile sized sites to "crack" anywhere - with finds up to 10m depth...

    Good luck and never forget:

Motivation can became much more worth in (your) life than money or gold !

    hello maimoune

thank you for the information - i'm shure you will make the 1m coil whole again sucessfully.
But you know for the 1 m coil you have to find 2 cm diameter gold-nuggets (aka bonanza's) minimum! Or huge gold-rocks!

If the Jeohunter 3D Box repair doesn't work perhaps you go for the new makro-detector DeepHunter.
It is really depth-improved and can find relative small 1 Euro coins at air tests up to 57 centimeters.
From reliable sources I know its now also for coins deeper than ANY other detector in the world!
Not just in air, but mainly under ground, too!

Of course you need good experience and skill to distinct the minimal borderline signals out of the "abyss" or "noise chaos"!
The DeepHunter is even more precisly than the JeoHunter concerning electronical stability.

The only problem: perfectionism many times has a slighly higher price in this sub-optimal world that the fast an dirty way!
But one of the big meanings in life is constantly improvement, otherwise we still could sit in caves relaxed around the fire!

    good luck

very easy to open all coils ,it's fixed with black glue selicone only , and easy to fix agine .
Yes we have here in my country meany places treasures .
We have in our desert gold nuggest but we can not hunt .

thx Qiaozhi for deleting the over-large pix.

    maimoume,

if that determination problem did occured with all 3 coils
it is pretty clear that the box is the reason why,
because not all 3 coils would be broken or wet inside etc.

How did you open the 1m coil?
And can you fix it again?

Well, from Algeria its some distance to Turkey,
but I guess your land is pretty interesting for treasures and 2nd world war relics.
I think there are some deserts in Algeria so the 1m coil would be perfect to look through the huge sand masses.
You even could drag the coil there without any wheels, just by some flat sliding device
directly over the ground or dunes, if the sand is not too heavy mineralic.

Bye and good luck to fix the 1m coil.

No ,my freind cut the white cable, and we see the message search head is not determined was disappeared, but the detector not detected anything.and when he resoldered the cable jeohunter give message that search head is not determined.
I think the problem comes from the box.
    Best Regards

    @ maimoune

I recognized that the single white cable is ripped off.

This is not good and perhaps it has happended while the coil was opened.

Below you see a plan at what location it has to be resoldered.

If you can't do it by yourself, please print the below drawing on paper and give it to someone
who can do it for you and who can find the correct soldering-location spot.

It is not very complicated to find it on that small single sided pcb.
You even may see a little piece of ripped off wire at that soldering point.

    good luck.

Hi, I have done it for him and reposted them.
You please may delete his extremly oversized files, thanx!

    @ maimoune

Hello, really please post next time smaller sized pictures so we can see them
completly in the browser at around 1280 pixel or below screen width.

It would take ages otherwise if someone reads this page with a smart-phone!

Well, seems the coil is alright inside, as long as you didn't ripped off any cables.
But you must not open the complete coil, just only the part with the plastic screws
where the coil-cable leads into the coil to see if there is some moisture or water.

Good luck that your Jeohunter will be soon working again.
If you are living close to Turkey perhaps you could visit makro-detector at Istanbul directly
    for receiving very fast help.

Have a great treasure-hunting time always!
