Hi all,
I am making up the VDI BOARD at the moment and wanted to know how to arrive at the correct sized resistor for R2 which is the battery in circuit and goes to pin 2on the PIC?

Hello eduardo1979.
I need help that me send for e-mail the scheme, pcb and necessary components to fulfil the complete idx besides the discrimination for 2 tones. Him agradeceria that was helping myself for e-mail since I have to translate everything what I write with a translator, and seeing that you also are Spanish for my serious easy for e-mail.
My e-mail is [email protected]
Thank you very much in advance.

IMHO, the issue comes from the software instead of the front OPAMP.Originally posted by eduardo1979 View PostMy VDI does not reach far, about 25 cm in air. I changed the op amp several times and also improve outcomes. Instead the detector achieves much more than the VDI.
The sampling routine should damp the signal a bit too much. But only Holyuser can answer ...

I have the same problem with my VDI. It detects a coin only in 15 cm deepth. Is the MCP602 the better solution for this VDI ?
And what is the best resistor value for the RT2 on Board Poti ? what is the meaning of this poti ?

Fine work! My IDX work with an old 3900-er coil. I observed the disturbance. At me mainly the rusty iron indicates. Tested one with 15" heads too. It works well, but very heavy. Ropcsika prepared a good coil for me. I wait for it.

Thanks!Originally posted by Firebox View PostHi @Qiaozhi
the case for the idx is a german Eurobox:
The Label Pulse Star III is on it, because the Detector shaft is from a manufactor which builds PI Detectors. But you can buy ONLY the Detector shafts from this dealer
so this is the answer of your question 3 too
Hope you like it. On youtube you can see more of my projects for example Lugatek VDI an Geotech VDI

Hi Firebox,Originally posted by Firebox View PostHi, nice work !!! here are some pictures an videos from my IDX Pro, but without Button label
The idx is a very good detector, but i believe the disc could be a little bit better !! when i search with my idx on field there a many faulty noises from the DISC when he detects iron! so is it possible to improve the disc ?

I have some questions for you:
1. Why does your IDX-PRO have a label on the handle that says "Pulse Star III"?
2. Where did you buy the nice control box that is under the handle?
3. Where did you buy the triangular section telescopic stem?
