    IDX/VDI

Here is my IDX. Perfect discrimination, depth about 32 cm air test. Vdi gives a repeatable metal indication with steel, iron around 0- to minus 5. foil about 10, penny 25, US quarter 55. I still have to do adjusting to VDI board, I still cant get the pot to zero in. Im going to test it this weekend out on the farm. , I took some pictures, but I forgot hove to upload them.

    Hi Eduardo,

are you sure R25=47 Ohm? (not kOhm)

The detector is very stable and does it perfectly Ground Balance. Discrimination is very good. Enjoy it all.
Was there any other change beside adding the 47 0hm and 100k resistors and additional pad at P5?

На-на-на-на! I have no objection, but...
Are you fallen from the moon?
Everyone knows that PIC is the best!
    AVR is a waste

A smaller board for the VDI would be nice, similar in size to the LCD

I'll think about it this weekend

Off on my first hunt on ploughed land on Sunday, fingers crossed !
    Good luck on Sunday!

I just used values that Ivconic posted for his handmade quicksilver coil. Concentric coils are harder to build for me because the TX freq. changes when you change the turns of the bucking coil. On a DD coil , you set the TX freq. on the TX coil, then you just have to adjust for null.
