Aziz, according to Doug the QED has patents to cover the technology, is a better detector than the latest Minelab. So what is the problem?
Too bad Doug and Bugwhiskers always ruin their welcome on every forum they visit or run. Would love to hear their excuses. I see you are starting to have that problem also on several detector forums also.

No ... its a very useful post .... the QED and the QED-PRO are separate products ... The QED is nearing production finalisation after much testing. The QED-PRO is planned to have discrim and a fully digital signal chain.

The problem with the Pulse Devil was that Dave could never draw a line in the sand and say "this is good enough." There was always one more improvement, one more feature, one more idea to explore.

The QED appears to be on the exact same road. Supposedly the current QED design is already better than Minelab, so why isn't that good enough for a first product?

None of this would be a Big Deal except for a certain very vocal zealot who overpromises and underdelivers, all while bashing a company that does deliver. While I applaud these independent efforts, I don't applaud is the grandstanding and denigration that's being dragged into them.

That is a bit harsh Carl, we all know it takes much time and effort to make it work correctly and also have the performance to beat the main player. Also side stepping those pesky patents.
