So tell me moodz, do you really believe you are onto anything that others have not fully researched?? You are talking issues that others were aware of more years ago than I care to remember.Originally posted by moodz View PostActually if you knew your subject Peter ( AKA P99 ) ....
Basket weave and litz resolve the issues below ...
Skin effect: The resistance of a wire to high frequency current is higher ....
Proximity effect: Another similar effect that also increases the resistance of the wire at high frequencies
Parasitic capacitance: At a high enough frequency this capacitance can.......

Hurry up man before the capitalist and fashist government Gestapo knocks my door to arrest me or I have to leave the evil country. You know, I'm on the run! I'll escape to Austria soon. And the weather is just fine to cross the border.
Quick!!!! *LOL*

The weather was really fine there.
Oh! oh!, no answers to my question. Forum-trolls must be lazy or tired. *LOL*

Gee ^sif, I would have thought the question would be "Is the Moodz coil an outperformer?" So far, as can be seen again in Moodz's last post on AEGPoof, the only thing that seems to be performing is Moodz's mouth.Originally posted by Aziz View PostWhy is Moodz coil an outperformer?
Forum-trolls didn't answer the question.

Don't you reckon it's a pity he is so full of hot air and has never actually produced anything of consequence?

You are no better than Moodz, ^sif. You are another bloke who has waffled on for years about the world beater you are going to produce (evidently only in your mind) while going absolutely nowhere that hasn't been visited years ago.Originally posted by Aziz View PostUFox, Moodz is right with his statement about you amateur guys.
But hey, "If you don't know the answer, I'm not going to tell you!" (

Coils are already far too expensive!Spider wound or basket weave coils would be vastly more expensive for the reasons you describe.Originally posted by moodz View PostActually if you knew your subject Peter ( AKA P99 ) .... there has been alot of research into basket weave coils and litz wire. The main reason you dont see them in commercial coils is manufacturing difficulty coupled with mechanical stability and bulk of the windings. However the use of basket weave in a resin matrix overcomes these difficulties and the basket weave actually reinforces the resin addition to the other benefits. The resin also prevents the windings moving relative to each other which causes instability when the coil is knocked.

PJ other than bundle wound coils being cheaper and easier to manufacture, what do you think are the technical benefits of bundle wound mono coils compared to spider or basket weave wound mono coils?Originally posted by PATCHES JUNIOR View PostLet Doug talk Moodz into building a bunch of these coils. Maybe then Moodz will figure out the truth about Doug and run as far away as he can.
