hi kt, on your preamp diagram of 2019, you added a capa of 100nf in series behind r 100, what is the use? is it for decoupled the output?

The 100nf should be across pin 4 and 7 AD797, it is a bypass filter.
The 100 ohm is correct which provides short circuit protection on output of preamp.

The schematic is not correct. The 100nf is not on the output. The sovereign and Excalibur have a 1uf coupling cap on the coil input to the main circuit board. The 100nf is across v+ and v- of preamp.

yes, i added the cap because i do things more universal. not just ML like in this case. anyway you can do not set the cap.
