also KT315, if you had the choice of every wire size (enamel copper) 1.2mm 1mm, 0.7mm. 0.6mm, 0.4mm
which one would you chose for your coils?
    25cm
    40cm
    1mx1m

does wire thickness play key role in depth and stability ?

0,4-0,8 will be OK for 25-40cm.
for 1x1m I used fat izol 2mm multistrand wire. why you ask me what you will get at DVD??? - that is the question for me.
I only double all info again and again. open folder DELTA PULSE SNIFFER XR71 and will see all pics and all that only possible to find around.

kt315, talk to us about the best cable we can use to connect the coil, i have read somewhere of an RG(dont remember the number) that has lower capacitance or something than RG58 and it is better choice....
            what is your wisdom ?

i think the ONLY reason you have to say the same things again and again is the crappy search function of this forum
            it realy sucks big time

if i search RG58 for example, it will show me 1000 threads with this word but NOT the page that it is mentioned
so i have to go through 100s of pages of the thread to find the post that contains this word

i think i've made almost every question in one thread and only 2 pages!!

RG58 is not useful be cause NOT MULTISTRAND. it is hard to use. I have not access in my small town (22000 inhabitans and 150km from the capitol) to cable
I would like to use. it must be low cap fat microphone type, but what type to order I do not know.
I do not see one in www.lemona.lt I could be ordered. have to find a number and to order from Sweden source.

KT what capacitance do you target? a good RG58 has 100pf/m am i right?

                2 core or 1 core ?

if it is a 2core cable, will we use the shield? and do we care on core to shield capacitance or just core to core? or both?

                try this website

I did not write RG58 is bad as has bad elecric parameters, I wrote RG58 is HARD and non-practical in use. be cause ONE CORD coaxial while
FOR US good cable has to be multistrand. why 2 core?? I did not write about 2 core cable neverwhere.

1 core with the shield - THAT IS CALLED and MEANT THE COAXIAL. you need - FAT, COAXIAL, MULTISTRAND. that's all.

understood, dont foget, this is a noobs guide to perfection
every little thing needs to be explained! in 2-3 pages !!

can you please guide me how to tune the R5 and R37 ?

i have an osciloscope (a little one!)

look at this cable used by company in Mexico doing DEEPERS serie detectors. this is what you have to find.

                          - R5. damper resistor. if you will use DP's all values 'as is' you do NOT need to tune. you can stay even 820 Ohm.
I mean 40us FIRST STROBE DELAY.
but if you will RE-tune DP on more short FIRST STROBE DELAY, 5....10us, you have to take attention how to tune R5.
SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO TUNE R5.

                          - R37 tune on EDGE MAXIMUM MOVING of microamperemeter PA1's arrow.

did you mean 680 ohm for R5 ?? i see 680ohm in parts list and schema!

also, i did not find 20k pots for SENS. and DEPTH is it ok to use 25k ? do i need to change anything?
