kt, can you try this ?

    pot 1,2: min
    pot 3,4,5: midle

    start DP, reset

    slowly turn threshold to full

do you reach the full threshold and get no sound? (without any metal infront of the coil)

about threshold I wrote many times... this pot is NOT working AS THE threshold. in first time you turn ON the pot is effective,
then later not. this is why I wrote to set THRESH in middle position and to lose.
I know people who deleted all pots from DP for do not punch the brain of users by longly dialogs ''why there this so and here this so'.

no pots - no questions. this is GOLD rule.

ok... looking this lesson again... looking ON THE POT THRESHOLD and NOW ATTENTIONALLY on my hand (there is NOT tuning, NOTHING of that).
I left the pot IN MIDDLE POSITION - IN MIDDLE POSITION -!

haha sorry if i make u mad my friend!

          this is why this happens:

~ many people found turkish PCB or made it

~ in turkish PCB threshold is "how deep you can detect something" you turn on the DP, reset on the ground, and then turn threshold to highest you can go until you hear one beep every second, and this is the deepest you can go.

so i thought this is how it works in this pcb too.

the fact that it doesnt start to beep even in highest threshold setting made me thinking 2 reasons

          1) i made a mistake and i can detect even deeper

          2) i used TLE2072 and signal is much cleared so i can turn the threshold more without detecting "my self", so maybe i can detect deeper if thershold had 1 more turn? (10k more resistance?)

i dont know much about electronics, if you say this pcb works different, ok i accept it

what is this pot you turn in the video?

this is not DP, this is SKIF, THE bright example how to write the manual for dummies. no pots - no tuning - touch nothing, turn on and Go.
no questions, no long reports, nothing of libel by innuendo )))

gold rule - DELETE ALL POTS.

shipwrecks in the Bahamas... Salvor informs - John and I use the Pulse Star one meter square coil underwater. It is waterproof and has waterproof connectors. I made a PVC sled filled with concrete to tow the coil behind our boat.

                  metal box shield:
made from pcb, cut then glued with superglue, then with 2 elemnts very strong glue

after the box is complete every side will be connected to each other with many wires

VERY VERY NICE JOB! but be attentionally with these chinese power supplies - although there written 12,6 voltage output
it can give you 14 and more voltage, that can be danger for DP -!
connect a resistor to PS output, 5-12 watt, 120 ohm will give you approx 0.1 A 100 mA, then measure voltage on the R.
you have to see no more than 12-13V that will be OK faraway in your job.

thanks for the tip! this power supply is tested for two years and is very nice! it gives 12,5 volts stady until its empty.
                      pure luck for chinese stuff!!

i post some pictures of the finished product

                      any questions welcome

                        hi
                        good work
why use copper box for shield ? and dont use graphite ( same method like KT)
i wait for you to test and put result here.
                        regards

hello, i used copper box because this was what i had and did not want to search anymore for parts in the shops, its an overkill but no one can say "the word interferrence" now!

one mod i will do next time i will open up the box is 20k pot at threshold. no matter how much KT is screaming, i WILL try it

i will post test results as soon as i make proper coils, for now, 2cm coin at 22cm distance with 25cm diameter coil 700uh (bat coil)

                            I have a couple of questions ...
                            1. I have a couple pf capacitor 15 and 47pF but are 50v, these serve me or not ...?
                            2. I have one of 1,5nf 16v but I serve them, or I can use for 1nf or 2,2nf by the 1,5nf as a replacement ..

                            thanks in advance ...
                            : Ceño:

                              1. 15 and 47pf 50v are ok, volts are ok to be higher as long as they fit the pcb

                              2. i wouldnt change the 1,5n to 1 or 2,2 because if the cap is used as filter, you screw up the filter properties, but KT is more pro to answer this question, im sure he will do.

try to use exactly the same values, (again, higher voltage in caps is not important, lower voltage may damage the cap it self) changing this to that drives the delta crazy and erroneus behavior.

i measured all resistances and used the most close (if not exactly) the values needed
i measured transistor gains (same transistor, little difference to gain) and used all exactly the same values
i measured all caps exact capacitance and used the same (there is 5% or 10% variasion) or closest values
i even measured the 1n4148 pass resistance (or voltage drop) and used all the same -or closest values-

this practice leads to a very balanced delta. everything is closest to the theory behind.

think about a car with different tyres on each wheel, it WILL work but it will drive like ****.

double, triple, quadraple check all resistances before soldering, replacing 100k with 100R by mistake will make huge difference and you will not be able to tell why, you will be desoldering and measuring for ages and may not be able to find the mistake.

                                I have also some of 1.5nf but 16v ..
                                they serve to them.
