Wow That's the first time I have heard that. I though higher inductance was used
for big objects or deep detection (like 1mx1m coils). You would miss small objects
as the higher inductance has greater resistance to change so needs to be pulsed
slower....

Eric Foster: My Beachscan uses a coil of 1mH as does the C.Scope CS7 and CS6PI.

ANY experiments with big coil in the room will end in unsuccess. be cause you have huge amount of EMF influence and metal armature around you.
I wrote about this many times but people again and again try check DP with 1x1m coil in the kitchen.

Got problem on 1x1m coil.. when i plug 1x1meter coil 6ohms, 385uh to the dp the sounds from the speaker become weak and even any adjustment of the pots i cannot get detection.. dp works well in smaller coil. What would be the problem?

when i connect coil LCD response very bad for adjust but without coil well.so is ok?
battery adjust well and next CW TR1 to see full (i see it next push zero) but when i ccw TR1 don't show full to set it, how can i adjust.
please any one help
