Dear experts, this board does not fix problems with sound when using a speaker. The transistor buffer stage on the sampler is connected to unstabilized voltage 12v. But that's your problem, you have PCB. Change the plate and you are happy.

      Good morning, friends!
I've finished making the homemade PCB. The first thing I'll do is install the power supply components and test them.

Hello! I built a surf pi and it works but I have a problem, the irf9640 is hot when the coil is connected, with the coil disconnected it is cold, do you have any idea what the cause is?

Hi, probably your TX pulse width is not right. What is the pulse width?

what is inductivity of your coil? and what type MOS-FET you use?

It's normal for the coil switch to get warm, even very warm. If it's too hot to touch, then that's too hot.

this long board with bugs and nobody does not want to seek them and tell about. every new DIY topickiller gets them again and again going in trouble.

Note that the 7555 timer is powered directly from the 12 volt battery. Either you have another error or a defective timer so that the mosfet is not clogged.

This long board works and there are no errors, but you still need to monitor standard things, voltages, the output of the integrals, etc. It's not that difficult, the easiest thing is to write "it doesn't work, what should I do?". Well, write where you have what, take pictures of the pulses on the outputs with an oscilloscope, so that it's easy and someone can help.

I must take off hottest burning coals from the fire by naked hands?? first trouble is R25 resistor is not connected to anything.

Someday I might decide to make a "surf pi" again, but I would like some kind of mod version, but I have to decide what to change, maybe a bipolar version.

A more advanced version of Surf-PI can be found here -> Arduino Nano Pulse Induction Metal Detector Project - Published March 2021

There is no need to change anything in it --- the device is great in its initial version. All other additions only make it worse and more complicated. IMHO
