Hi everyone, I've built many metal detectors but haven't been satisfied with any of them. I've tried digital and analog, all kinds. I'm looking for a stable and truly useful device. I'm waiting for your suggestions. Which device should I build?

Does this imply that you've been making truly unstable and useless ones so far?
Before any question to others and before any decision; you need to define your goals.
Which detector, what kind, for what purpose, what specifications?
I realized around 2011 that I was not capable of making a VLF I/B detector that would meet my expectations 100%.
And then I solved that problem very simply. I bought XP Deus 1.
In the meantime, a lot has changed on real soils, and now Deus 1 no longer meets my expectations 100%.
Now I'm in trouble again.
Am I going to try to build myself a metal detector now?
No, I'm still not capable of making anything better than what I have.
Bottom line: my goals are high and ambitious.
In a similar way, you need to define your goals for yourself first.
...
You asked this question in the PI thread, which implies that you want a PI detector first.
The best you can DIY at the moment is the Pulse Star 2 or the Gold Scan by Eric Foster, depends on what exact type of PI is your primary goal.
You have that threads on the forum, you have the schematics, you have the pcbs. Just search for it.
If that doesn't meet your criteria either... then do as I did; buy yourself a better detector.
Yes, you're right, I want to build a pulse detector, and it's especially important that it's discriminatory. I want to build an ivconic PD3200, but the PCB needs to be double-layered, and I haven't been able to figure it out yet. I need help.

This is probably awkwardly written, I'm "ivconic" and the PD3200 has nothing to do with me.
It is a detector that originated in Bulgaria. I'm not sure I remember who the author was.
I had the opportunity to see a DIY PD3200 at a colleague's place.
It is a solid PI detector.
Neither better nor worse than the others in that category.
