      After a lot of work, I’ve arrived at a setup that really works, though I still need to do some field testing. For now, I have to say that the high and low discrimination settings make a big difference.

      I’ve finally managed to adjust it so that ferrous metals register at the low end of the bar and highly conductive metals at the high end.

      It’s still in the testing phase; I hope to make a video tomorrow to see how it performs. One last detail: it has slightly less sensitivity compared to the Felezjoo, but its other settings compensate for that.​

            Check out the new videos I uploaded to showcase the new program for the first time and demonstrate the difference between the Felezjoo and PulseMaserPI metal detectors.

              In some recent tests, I realized that this new program is very useful for searching for silver and using discrimination to isolate it; this is ideal if you want to focus exclusively on silver. Since I don't have any gold, I can't be certain if it actually works for finding gold.

              I replicated the test by burying a silver coin about 5 cm deep in a trash-filled area—where there is a lot of iron—and by using specific settings, the device was able to detect the coin quite cleanly; in other words, it could discriminate the coin from all that debris. I tried the same test with the Felezjoo, but it couldn't handle it with any settings in that scenario. The new program performs better in high-trash areas, whereas the Felezjoo slightly outperforms it in terms of depth.​

                I almost forgot to mention: I added a diagnostic mode to check if the LF357—or any IC you use—is in good working order; it’s a very useful feature.

                Also, the way it discriminates is different, but the real benefit is the ability to search for silver reliably.​

                  Here is another test to try out the new program and see how it performs. I should mention that I had to sacrifice a bit of depth to achieve these results; I arrived at this point after extensive testing and re-testing. At one stage during the trials, it seemed like it was failing again, but after putting it on the test bench, I realized the issue was just a slightly loose wire in the coil.

                  Once that fault was fixed, it began running stably.

                  As I mentioned, this system is different because I focused more on targeting higher-value metals. It took a lot of effort, but it now works in a way that filters out almost all metals in the lower range while letting silver and copper pass through. I’m not sure about gold, though, as I don’t have a sample to test with.

                        In the tests I’ve conducted, it’s capable of adapting even to trashy areas—allowing you to search for metals amidst the refuse—provided the conditions aren't too extreme; after all, it’s not magic.

                        What I am certain of is that if you place it on highly mineralized ground, it cancels out the ground signal within seconds and allows you to keep searching. I’m not entirely sure about its actual depth range, but I know the GT adapts to everything; if you leave the coil resting on a piece of metal, it will cancel out that signal after 10 to 15 seconds and continue searching. This means you have to be careful while detecting, because after that short period, it effectively ignores the signal.

                        The downside is that it has slightly less depth penetration.​
