    It also does not mention what are the values of the toroidal transformer so this project is most likely obsolete, unless someone finds alternative parts or ways to complete the project.

    Although I'm almost done on the schematic redrawing it seems pointless to continue at this point.

    If someone is interested on continuing the schematic, you will find it on EasyEDA.com with project title "Rivista Nuova Elettronica #245".

    When logged in to EDA I get permission denied

      Sorry about that mate, here is the correct link:
      https://easyeda.com/MDfanatic/rivist...lettronica-245

      But as I stated, I haven't completed the schematic due to the lack of replacement components (I haven't finished the IC connections), If anyone could suggest alternatives for the following components I will finish it and build a proper PCB and if it works out OK I will make an SMD version with the power supply and everything else on a single PCB.

      ATM I can't find a proper replacement for these components:
      1N4150
      LM6218
      2N5247
      BYW100

LM6218 is only sticking point and i am not sure why they went all exotic with that only works at 67hz according to the text, i will try substitutes the rest is not a problem.

        was done in a rush not yet checked properly a second opinion would be helpful.

          1N4150 --> LL4150
          LM6218 - no plan its a 14pin dual opamp it think some 8pin dual opamp or good enough too (some changes in pcb layout necessary)
          2N5247
          BYW100 --> 1N5819 / 1N5393

            I have already made some corrections on this but needs more checking. and the LM6218 is a standard 8 pin dual op amp it is shown under the parts list. same connection as TL082

              The gain bandwidth of the LM6218 is substantially different from the TL082

                    I was not saying to substitute the TL082 for the LM6218 I am saying it has the same pin connections makes it easy to plug and play with other chips that could be suitable that is all in most PI detectors they use the NE5532 low noise to amplify the coil pulses in that part of the circuit, that may work would have to try it.

                      I apparently misunderstood your statement. My apologies.

                        Thanks for the link, yes it works now, I am trying to figure out what you did
                        have you imported a picture and are you superimposing the new schematic over it ?

                          Had a quick look at the 1N4150.
                          The 1n4148 is very close , even better and should work the same

                          I cannot see a BYW100 in the parts list

                          The 2N5247 and LM6218 are on ebay

                          The LM6218 has some fancy specs, I would try a NE5532 in place of the LM6218, just to get it working
