It is very important how you wind the coils. They need to be of the same geometry. This way you don't get bad discrimination. It is good to wind the transmitter first. Then wind the receiver through it using a shuttle.

These days I am very busy with repairs to the roof of the building. So I spend more time outside and very little time with the PC.
I'll continue with the detector once I've finished that urgent business.
In the meantime, I came across old pictures from 2016 when I was coming to Vidin for the flea market, this picture is very dear to me:

No actually we say the same "zlo kuče" (zlo kuche)... "kuče" is the colloquial expression for a dog and "zlo" is evil.Originally posted by scs-bg View PostIt’s a play on words. In Serbian, "kucha" means "house." In Bulgarian, "kuche" means "dog." But the most interesting sign I saw next to a dog at a villa read: "The dog is vicious and bites. The chain was made in China..."
But the whole humor is in the fact that this is one sweet little dog who can't be evil under any circumstances!

As for the roof, yesterday I forgot my work gloves and while I was carrying sheets and iron for the roof; my hands are all cut and scarred.
Today it's raining outside and I woke up with pain in my hands, "a million" scars and cuts.

What is the easiest way to make the coils? You need strong wire and a lot of patience. Finally, you can glue the coils into the housing using instant adhesive and coat them with epoxy resin, or attach them to wooden supports, wrap them with gauze, and apply resin. The coils in the photo aren't for this specific detector, but the method is the same.

Winding a coil with thinner wire results in a slight change in inductance. The cross-sectional area of the windings changes slightly—this corresponds to the 'L" parameter in the formula. Resonance is adjusted by changing the circuit's capacitor. Ideally, for a DD or "OO" coil, the receive and transmit coils should be identical. However, the sensor becomes heavy because the transmitter requires a large wire cross-section.

The inductance of a coil changes if a wire with a different cross-section is used, as the length "l" in the formula changes. While this change is not significant, it does alter the resonance. If you want to build this detector easily, wind the coils using the same type of wire 0,3, though this will result in greater weight.
