In my humble opinion, I think this detector has some things in common with the DFX. I'm referring mainly to the analog components and the TX circuit.

The BHID was an all-analog 2-frequency design and a predecessor to the DFX. It has a PIC micro but only for generating timing pulses, whereas the DFX has 2 micros for processing and graphics. The BHID was not based on any prior designs.

I've never done it before, I'll try it this weekend. If I can't figure something out, I'll contact you.

thank you... i see you are without experience.... so I did think to give you Part List like an example. do just ICs part (chips, micros ...), top part of the BOM.

Thanks for posting the parts list. Yes, you can substitute MC14584 with a CD40106BE. Can you check the markings for Q4? It is next to the red striped electrolytic capacitors. It should be a dual np mosfet. Thanks

I marked q4 as U16 NDS8858H from the marking on the jumper
the processor in the socket is marked differently - should I remove its sticker to find out its marking?

I have just added U26 MC33077 to the IO list
