choice for a 18 khz

Original lobo works at 20khz, so says owners manual from tesoro website. I will upload the lay files, and a PDF of the PCB.

In your opinion, what machine 18khz is feasible at home? in analogy of course ....

Yes I do believe it is that one I bought , Vlaser huh Thanks for the tip , I don't think I ll be making my own coil , I ll ask dfbowers if he would be willing to make me one of not ill buy a widescan coil right from Tesoro for it.

This is older tesoro lobo, not sure you can buy new coil for it. The newer lobo supertrac use different coil. Not sure.
If you can buy original coil then this would be great and best option. Also I saw somewhere original box brand new for sale. Now that would be excellent.

Lobo with coil from Tejon ring 8*9. The range is roughly the same as that of Tejon. Compared to the original detector (old Lobo), the detector with the new sensor range is larger, because of the powerful TX sensor.

Really ? I thought I would of been able to get away with using the new coils for it , perhaps just changing the Caps before the tx could be enough to make it work ? does anyone have the schematics to the supertrac to compare with the this one ?

Never seen one. Don't think anyone has bothered to trace one out.

But seem there are same errors.
One track missing around lm393
the treshold variable resistor have swapped pin so it do a short from +8 to -8 . central contat reversed.
Sameone have found more error?

This is my second IDX, and all failed. The speaker sounds continuously.
What is wrong?
Do you have instructions for testing voltage points at some certain point?

Try to make DD coil, it is deeper than concentric in real soil. I have maked 38 cm DD for my idx on 16 khz. It's real beast of machine with that coil.
Air test for coins over 60 cm, also exelent result in mineralised soil.

would you plz share the turns for tx and rx
