    • Now we see how VA is seeing the signal through the headphones used as probe.
Question is now; what would be the differences if the original RX coil is used as probe instead?
With an addition of few coil connectors (both; males and females): it is doable.
If you know what i mean...
      wink wink!

      • We don't want any unpleasant surprises, therefore is better to add this circuit too:

        • El Nino: can you tell us which version firmware you have in your machine?
Your "gold mode" output is different to what people have seen for Version 1.5 firmware.

              Thanks
37740Hz is highest freq. What about the exact freq. of the other two?

              Guessing 18870Hz & 6290Hz.

                • Wow!
                  Lot of laughs here:

                  https://md-hunter.com/honest-review-...ng/#more-13404

Quote that attracts my attention at most:

"Here’s a warning to all Minelab Equinox 600 / 800 owners: do not try to open the detector control box.
Having spent 15 minutes attempting to uncover my machine,
                  I completely destroyed the housing.
It’s a good thing that I bought 2 units at once, otherwise it would
be rather ridiculous: sort of you paid your money but never went out detecting with that device
                  ."

NOW... IS THIS PERSON A GENIUS OR WHAT!??
THAT ARTICLE IS WRITTEN TO STRIKE TYPICAL CUSTOMER AMERICAN BRAIN AND THE CUSTOMER AMERICAN WAY OF THINKING!
WHO... ON EARTH... BUYS "2 UNITS AT ONCE" JUST LIKE THAT?
What would be the least sane reason for that?
Especially when it comes to such not so cheap product, but also made, advertised and sold (according to claims) by so relevant, trusty and competent brand!
You buy Mercedes car from the same reasons. But you buy one at the time, not "2 units at once", right?
Why.. the hell... would anybody buy "2 units at once"? Considering the price and quality. Considering the assumed durability and rigidity. So widely advertised so far.
So he buys those as a candies?
Whole article horribly stinks on candy!
And the x-ray-ed coil? Images scary enough to stop any idea of touching it!
You may buy it. You may use it (for limited time; remember the iPhone story). But you MUST NOT try to open it!
If you dare to try; be ready for severe consequences!

                  P.S.
I can't help it. It is stronger than me.

What you payed for is usually what you get at the end:

                  • ElNino: How good are you with PC's ? You should use the "Print Screen" function. Somewhere on your computer keyboard, there is a button labelled "PrtScn", probably in the top right corner, you usually need to use it in combination with an "alt" or "Fn" button. On my laptop, for example, I press "fn", press "insert", release "fn". This saves a screen-grab to the 'clipboard'. You then open up a photo-editing software package, even crappy 'Microsoft Paint' works, and do a 'paste' operation, and you should have the screen-grab loaded up. You can then give the image a name and save it to your hard drive, and upload it to this Forum. (You may need to resize it or crop it to something smaller). But the result is much much better than iPhone photo's.

                        Hold Ctrl and Alt
While holding these two keys press PrtScn
                        Then paste as mentioned above

Saving it in PNG or JPEG can make a big difference in memory size. Sometimes PNG or JPEG takes less memory. I'm not computer smart so I save both ways and delete the larger file if not sure which takes less memory. Paint works for me. I'm sure there are better ways to do it. Maybe someone could give an example on how do it right.

                          • The main problem with MS Paint is it's cropping ability. It only seems to be able to crop to the bottom-right-hand corner. So you do that corner, then use 'image rotate' to turn it 180 degrees, then crop to the bottom-right-corner again, the rotate 180 again..... Which is why I avoid using it. And I recommend something proper like IrfanView. ( I also have an outdated free trial version of PaintShopPro, that doesn't seem to ever expire, thanks to Registry-related issues with my version of Windows).

By "editing to make smaller" , I meant reducing the pixel count, rather than the file size. Some people have attached large screengrabs, and the Forum has mysteriously shrunk it down to about 300 pixels wide, rendering it unreadable and useless - Chiv had this problem on the other main Equinox thread.

My paint has a select window(dotted rectangle). Select area wanted and crop or cut.

                              • You'd think cropping would be included in version 1 . But .... you couldn't even save files as jpg's until 'recently', must be something copyright-related.
No surprise they don't support it any more.
