You could clean hiden parts with some woll soaked to any solvent (like nail polish cleaner or acetone, solvent 464) and make photo
Like clean flux in the finished pcb

It would help us And also this prevent us discussing long time about some critical part values.

Best Regards and thanks in advance

Hello chopz54 . Clean transistors for me . Clean all resistors for Nakky , clean all capacitors for Ivconic . Clean IC's and diodes for Qiaohzi, ApBerg and WM6 .

Seriously , just do the best you can and it is definitely appreciated from all of us !! The way everything is painted over my guess it is maybe similar to early Troy Shadow ? I did read that the Red Heat Machines were made special for highly mineralised ground in the UK .

              Regards..............Eugene

              • Troy Series of detectors was not started until 1997 so I am wrong !! It is a clone of something else .

The search coil will give some answers when measurements are posted here , resistance and inductance . Definitely looks like a home made search coil !!!

They where made really for mudlarking (on the River Thames foreshore) with their
ability to get goodies under iron (and theres lots of it there). He (Vic) also did small coils for these. You have all probably seen Vic with the newer X19 on youtube, this older model will do more or less the same....only not as deep
Yes..The coil was home built along with the rest of the machine--see the "workshop" photos posted earlier.
Going to make a start this week cleaning them components....

                        Thread is going to bottom.
I hope "OLD FORGOTTEN METAL DETECTOR'S" will not be forgotten again.
                        This time forever?

                            • This detector is very similar to the Tesoro Silver Sabre.
