Yes, as the silver + .... there are the silver and the silver+ ! There is a 'large' differents in those two..: the 'filtering' from the golden and silver are close, wile the silver+ and eldorado are close. The golden and the silver use the bipolar caps, those are not in the silver+ and eldorado

The red head ( I think) is made with parts fom the :

    eldorado: tr/power/rec.
    silver+: disc/ground/filtering
    golden : audio

Think that the succes from the red heat are the DD coils.... look at the succes from Ivconic's coils for the tesoro's!

    Best regards.

      • RedHeat Cleaned(?)

Good news-- Cleaned some of the components.

Bad news---Chips etc are coated with something different- would not budge
with what resources I have to hand.

If you need any info off something---USE MY PHOTO with numbered arrows

and I will have a closer look.

                Maybe--maybe not.
Would hate to damage this working example experimenting with different chemicals,
                which I dont have.

                • Black Light

Hi give it a try using black light, try to read the numbers from different angles and using (if possible) a cheap USB microscope.

                  Good luck.

Backlight..That wont work as what ever is on there is pretty thick.
I dont have a USB microscope either...or know anyone who has I could borrow.

Values we need marked in photo i attached.
You could fill needed values directly on that photo even with paint text option.
                      It would lighten process

                      • RedHeat Labels

Heres about 75% of the asked for comp labels.I have only listed the ones I can get to (at the moment...I wish it had taken a moment!!)and am pretty sure on colours etc (you will have to find the values for yourself) The rest will either require the board removing (again)or a bit more cleaning. Some of them eg: transisters(?) etc are coated in the same
stuff as the chips...so I dont know what to do about them.Theres about 12 left to find.
I hope that all this is of help?

Can someone help me please? I recently bought a Minelab Sovereign--First model "The Sovereign".The machine had not been set-up for multi tone (It just needed the jumpers moving-done) I noticed that it did not have a "sheild box" arround the board (with the paperclip and wire) Anybody know if this model had one? (the XS's etc did) and will it effect my machine by not having one? Whats its purpose? Thanks chop

There will be a foil type cover over the main system board and is used as an interference shield in Minelab Sovereign XS. Can't say if another model had it.

Can you try scrape top edge of metal transistor with needle or something sharp. (knife, small scissors). I think there is no marking on the top. And no damage will be done to metal. Just to see if that coating breaks or is very strong.
