Hi fun finder
My first detector later 14 year ago is garrett cx3 so gti 2500 so whites xlt so minilab but all of this detector have problem by mineral soil and detect & give wrongly signal but when you detect by geohunter error probability is very low because Minerals are not affected to this detector if detect a mineral The signal can be easily understood in Oscilloscope display Such that :Oscilloscope display shows a straight line.when i detect by geohunter and display signal i Understand size and depth of target before dig.
I attach my baby and super depth detector.
Thank's of your test

Jeohunter finds 500 grams of beercaps at 2 feet !
Yesterday I've tested the improved extended cable of the 45cm Excelerator coil
together with the Garrett GTI 1500 and under some tree I got a detection signal
that was constant from all directions - left-right, right-left, up-down and down-up.
So I dugged and dugged and dugged almost down to over 2 feet and - nothing!
Just at one side of the hole there was an amount of loam that made me cautious.
Today I checked that still open hole with the Jeohunter and directly it was clear
that there is no metal! This was the proof the GTI1500 wrongly detects metal if
there are parts of highly mineralized soil - and this is not funny if the signal is
clear and you dig for hours very deep holes!
However today I used this hole to bury one pound of beercaps at 2 feet / 66cm.
Yes, beer caps, because I have collected alot of them and I wasn't motivated
to bury 1kg of coins at 2 feet and after bury them dig them out again.
You can download the videos here:
The Jeohunter was able to detect them even at 70% sensitivity (I filmed both,
detection 90% and 70%). Those are of iron or steel and the iron off disc worked
very good. The ground consists of high mineralized clay / loam and was heavily
compressed after closing (every 20cm layer the soil-material was stamped).
Another proof how fantastic and reliable the Jeohunter works!

This is really an extremly good depth result!
If possible, show us more pix n test-results!
If the coil is set to perfect resonance at very high sensitivity and used with special
care so nothing disturbing over ground changes this fixed 'oscillating ground circuit'
it may be possible especially if the surrounding ground differs from the usual there.
This is really a highend transceiver connected with special coil and not simple
circuit through some windings! If I have some time I will post tests made with
the super depth 1m coil. I guess it contains aorund 8kg of very thin copper-wire
and I can assure you it will reach very deep metal stuff with it's powerful EMfield.

I detect in mineral ground of 50% Silica and no rocky or sand but there was a lime.
I detecting again for find other grave there.
I have a dimension 25*25cm of non-ferrous metal in depth 2 meter and put in soil for 1 year so i detect by geohunter and search coil 210*315 mm.It was difficult to believeAttached Files

Very fascinating results, ishtar hunter.
We can't see the pictures - please will you attach or upload them again?!
Use 'Post Reply' and press 'manage attachments' button there.
And it would be interrresting what kind of ground you have at that sites.
Is it all the same level of mineralisation without scattered hotrocks or is
it sand or something else?
Good luck in finding very precious treasures!

Yes -please read the service manual and see in you tub so go to detection.Originally posted by John Vasquez View PostHi my name is john i'm new in this, i have Jeohunter and don't know why i have to put the width and length manually and is true the maximum depth is 6-8 m.
I can detect a Non-ferrous metal a Dimension 25*25 cm in 2 meter depth I detect by 210*315 mm search coil but a year passed since the buried metal.

my geohunter detect a void and display signal of void so i take a depth and display 2.30cm so I dig there and Grave appeared in a 2.50 cm i attach a picture of my detection.Originally posted by ishtar hunter View PostI now the pi detector can not detect void but geohunter can detect void and in display are a void graph.
I have taught at the macro and i can detect void by geo hunter.
Thank's for you
Geohunter is my best Favorites of metal detector in 14 year of my work.
Wm6 comments to me at all "is not important because i see performance my geohunter.
hah hah hah......

Not too much spinach in my answers, but too much hot air in your short poops!
And please stop your weight arguments! It's like the same stupid to tell a mountainclimber
he should not try to reach very high peaks because the rucksack would be too heavy!
Well, after this above reply from you I warned you but you just ignored it and wrote
again such stupid cheap short bla bla bla stuff so I won't read or answer it.
WM6, either you will show some respect and write REAL answers to me or your OUT!
You may post your last statement again together with detailed technical arguments
concerning Jeohunter because I can't see no longer your "remarks", they're too tiny!
@ joejoe
1. I doubt your conclusions about WM6's behaviour here really are true.
Because his ridiculous comments can't undermine the good image of Jeohunter anyway.
2. Computer logging only makes sense for gradiometer GPR.
@ ishtar hunter
Thx for your new info. Jeohunter also can find meteorites and unusual
changes in ground condition and because of DD coil structure it is much
more sensitive to small stuff with 1m coil compared to P.I. frames, too.

I now the pi detector can not detect void but geohunter can detect void and in display are a void graph.Originally posted by Funfinder View PostThank you for your answer. Some here think I'm the only happy owner of a Jeohunter.
A PI never will find cavity but some treasures are within hidden rooms under ground etc.
Detecting a void of area - I'm shure you ment (80cm * 60cm) at a depth of 250cm -
is a really good result! I hope you will write again here. Thanks.
I have taught at the macro and i can detect void by geo hunter.

Well, wmd (pun intended this time) allows you to fully explain your position in an enlightening manner. If it hadn't been for him we wouldn't know all the wonderful things the jeohunter can do. The writing may have stopped a long time ago. I imagine there will be many that will weigh what you say with a better scale since you've been argueing rationally your position. That is good. We would be much more ignorant if you hadn't been doing so.
The other day you left a website in bulgaria and I saw that the unit (forget the name) had a spot that could be hooked up to a computer. Does anyone know if there is software that can data log direct from the machine to your computer without neccisitating the purchase of the logger unit itself?

AND, WM6, if you don't start to write long, reasonable and serious replies
I may begin to completly ignore your pesky and pestiferous litte short-farts!

This one of my posts is not long enough, not reasonable and not serious?:
General tech discussions on all types of metal detectors: VLF, 2-box, BFO, off-resonance, PLL, etc. Questions, ideas, and anything else that moves you.
Probably you do not agree with yourself anymore?

Don't give the people wrong advice here WM6 just because you seems
to know nothing else than your Whites detectors!
That Surf PI stuff compares pretty bad to the Minelab Excalibur 2 with 10'' coil
if it has to deal with black sand like in the case of joejoe!
And what's missing are the drawbacks of PI:
very slow sweep speed, no discrimination (digging rusty nails at 2 feet etc.)
mini coil that won't find large deep objects and takes forever to search
large areas, drifting, crazy making fire alarm sound output and much more -
especially wrong alerts all the time with hotrocks!
And this Minelab Excalibur II with 10'' inch coil costs already 1300 dollars!

@WM6
I'd liked to hear convincing pro arguments for that Surf PI but I'm shure you won't have any or can't write them in your mini-short replies. Wasn't it you that told me that a Whites TM808 or 800 with modified coils would be better than Jeohunter? I guess so. And now the same again. Why should I want a Surf PI (is this a homebrew when it's 50x cheaper?) if I can't detect mineralic stones or cavity with it and the detection depth never is that good?
It's so dirty cheap and lame reposting my own formerly contra arguments while completly ignoring the pro arguments instead of having proofen facts but at least you gave me the chance to objectivate those contra points now after a long time of practical experience:
- Price: What's cheap, has no worth. The Minelab GPX5000 costs much more,
High Power PI cost the same, the Nokta Golden King last year did cost almost
the double of the Jeohunter and for computerized ground analyzing GPRs sell
for around 10.000 and upwards.
- Lithium Ion batteries life is 6 hours. This type has most power but like any
batteries problems with very low temperatures.
- the 3D image represents the radiation strengh of an object - if it is flat the
image will look more flat and if the middle is much higher the object will also
appear on the analyses screen higher
- The sound-output of all MDs is too loud - this is my own opinion.
- Handbook is understandable enough and has nothing to do with the detector quality
- detecting of human body at high senstivity setting does not occure under
usual treasure hunting conditions but shows the special sensitivity and this is good.
- disc contains: iron, steel, gold and different variations of valuable metal
- PC connection is not needed - analyses screens are capturable by digicam
- battery indicator works good
- color display is readable and that counts (btw. I use additional protection plexi-glas)
- changing arms sometimes while searching is no problem
- transporting Jeohunter with improved backpack-straps works super easy, even on
bike and with 5kg additional stuff
- pinpointing is not easy with such large coil - but you should use additional Pinpointer
anyway - this apples generelly also to little-coil detectors
- accu plug works fine after cutting the plastic a little bit
- the large coil is a problem with the plants and stones in some areas but sometimes
not because you can simply sweep over this stuff and still have a good signal
- the valuable factor is higher on larger objects but a higher mass of noble metal
has more worth
- to correct the ground balance level you can press directly the button
- key assignment is very easy and fast after some time of experience - you can
set the values even if display is closed
- batterie charging time is around 6-7 hours with computer-controlled circuits
- the deeper the detector goes - the more digging - this was a personal statement.
- Accu duration 4h at freezing point temperatures still pretty well (2/3 time loss)
- GEB adjustment all the time like written in manual is correct.
- it does not use 9Volt blocks - this is a pro argument.
- very near nails show as cavity - this does not occure with buried nails
- no ultra bright LED lights on the coil - that represented my personal wish only.
- very fine and extended german manual exists already for 1 year.
- with some experience even with the large medium coil pinpointing is easy
- Jeohunter has the same depth or even better with same coil-size than Nokta.
- at the moment Jeohunter standard edition in Europe is 3200 Euro (Bulgaria)
or around 2000 Euro in Italy and 3999 Euro with huge 1m ultra depth coil.

So WM6, there you have your "contra"!

Of course for the worldwide-killer-breakthrough of this outstanding detector
I would like some improvements:
- Resetbutton directly at the holder (makes searching at highest sensitivity
much more easy) (I have made this already last year and it works perfect! )
- a new lightweight coil inbeetween standard and 1m has to be invented for
1 person super deep search
- the standard coil inclusive holder would need some weight reductions so
it's possible to search on very steep mountains, forests and other terrains
- the Jeohunters display need an OFF switch for saving battery life and
searching just by audio signals
- I would like an analoge mode so you can hear slightest changes from
coils field-activity changes (could be of use for extremly weak signals)
- bright LED lights directly at the coil for searching the ground at night

PS @ WM6 - you are crazy or Whites brainwashed comparing those
Surf PI with Jeohunter when I read this short but enough info here:
