I dont know all of the facts, as Quoazi also says - it can be difficult to debug for all concerned.
When you test the Tx coil needs to be attached - this is the only condition the Tx can work properly.
There is a thing with the supply and ground on these designs which is not obvious and it is this.
The pcb ground around the edge of the pcb is not 0V.......... it is at 1/2 of the regulator output +8 / 2 = +4volts with respect to the Battery negative -Ve terminal..
So try this with your meter on DC volts. Attach your Tx coil and battery - switch unit on.
Place the -Ve black meter lead on the Battery -Ve terminal
Place the +Ve red meter lead on the Input to the Regulator --------------- should be +12V while the unit is ON.
Place the +Ve red meter lead on the Output of the Regulator --------------- should be n+8V while the unit is ON.
If good move on.
place meter black PCB edge ground copper..
meter red to Regulator output .................................... should be +4volts
meter red to battery -Ve terminal ................................ should be -4volts
If good move on
Put meter on AC volts
place meter black to PCB gound copper edge
meter Red to either of Tx coil pins TRY both - ............ one of them should read approx 10 to 15 volts

The Build you did looks to have the right parts on, placed on the right way.
My observation from your pcb is check the quality of the soldering. It may be a trick of the light, but there are some low quality soldering there.
I have ringed some examples - you may need to ZOOM IN - especially the connector pins to top right - two of these look DRY

What battery did you have on this?
Do you get 8V out of the regulator?
S
i use new 12v battery pack
i just get 4.75v from regulator
i will take new picture for that pin
thanks golfnut
other people dont understand my situation
when there know just blame me

Show me the simple where is the test point for oscilloscope
i think i don't getting wrong about my coil
the rong is the board because there are no voltage on TX
Show how to fixed the board

Without an oscilloscope you are going to find this extremely difficult (and I mean "extremely difficult") to debug the problem.Originally posted by paku View Postthere is too much fraud
This Is My DoG PCB
I have Test Voltage
RX 2.7
TX 0.00
That PCB I Buy From silverDOG
What do you mean by "I have test voltage: RX 2.7 and Tx 0.00"?
You must supply more information before anyone can provide assistance.
Between which points were these voltages measured?
Which schematic are you using?
What about the coil?
What are the wiring details from the coil to the PCB?
Does TX=0.00 not look suspicious to you?
There are so many questions...

The silvergog IDX PCB works just perfect. I have two of them and they works right from the start. Only the shorted pins /which as I see you cut out/ was the problem. Buy the way - very nice job done by you.
If you IDX does not work you should search for errors or something burned. But the PCB is fine - this is guaranteed. Do you have a coil, or you test the voltage without a coil?

I read on an early post that a forum member lowered the value of r26 to increase current to the tx coil.
I have a silver dog pcb and r26 is on the disc channel nether the less I experimented and as expected my idx iron rejection stopped working so I returned the correct resistor to r26.
Now on the silver dog pcb what resistor would govern the tx coil current ?
The post i am referring to is the one about running 12v threw tx.
I have plenty of battery ah's so I would like to explore this option.
Thanks.

I have bought PCB from Silverdog with the short between X and Y and cut the connection, soldered exactly those components that are printed on top. With a selfmade 27DD coil the detector goes nearly up to 50cm with 1€ coin on air test.
Resistors are all 1%, caps 5-10%,i tried and changed IC's of the same type until i got best results. With the coil i was very careful to achieve the known specs.
Then i adapted Lugatek VDI with a small GLCD 64x128 in the same housing. Adjustments have yet to be made. A 3x18650 accu holder is also on top of the housing, so it's a kind of "all in 1" solution.
I am very satisfied with my IDX-Pro, thank you guys for all the information to build that great detector.

yes i have found the short circuit on that thraed
PCB from silverdog. It is short circuit X and Y signal

Hello Paku. Sounds like you had not read the entire thread. Clearly, in this version missing trimpot diodes and there are also different values of resistance in the control sensitivity in other versions. There are three or four versions of Eduardo's circuit! (Which is different from White's original diagram) and each of us tried the different settings (or new ones) to make the IDX work to our personal taste.Originally posted by paku View Postgolfnut
have post the picture the board dont have trimpot dont have 3 Diode
you can see the board from silverdog picture http://www.silverdog.co.uk/shop/imag...t-1024x768.jpg
that its not same like there ar post to me
I personally chose the Silverdog PCB configuration (though my PCB is made in house) and everything works fine.
Post some good pictures of your board and your coil and so surely the most advanced forum members can help you (if there IS a solution for your problem)
Regards,
Fabian
