It's a very good project. Everything works as it should. With a 27cm DD you get very good depth. I've been running a smaller 8" with good results. In all metal mode its very easy to pinppoint and the disc works as it should. The silverdog board is very high quality well worth getting if they ship to Mexico there is a kit as well. MPSA13 was the only thing that I could not fine cheap not realising that MPSA14 would be as good if not better.

I don't see it on silverdogs pcb of the idx-pro. I have access to the LMC6482MN will this work? Thanks ahead of time. One other thing.. has anybody built the vli using an arduino (atmega328p) ?
Use the parts as printed on the silverdogs website (click on the PCB board to zoom in) all the ICs are labeled with the location number (U1,U2 ectra) and part number.

Hi, Can someone send me the idx-pro board from silverdog? I got permanently barred from paypal and that's the only payment method available on silverdog. I'm willing to work out a payment method.

I built two IDX and no work. PCB´s are from Silverdog. I tested the components and apparently are fine. I used the coils maxima 1500 from white's and the Spectrum XLT coil. I checked the supply voltage and correct. No sign of TX and the circuit makes sounds when my hand approached to the PCB. Both pcb have the same problem.

Can be the problem of the pcb?

    Regards

Try Change NE5534 or check ALL off you ic and use new IC
when you on the IDX try put you hand to Transistor KSP 13 is hot or not and try put on ic Check Every IC is not going to hot
if the board have no short it will be ok

    Hello kt315 ,
I'm a little confused. Touch the shields of the right and left coil?

Sorry I meant the finished board with the components installed. By the way that board is not affected by the short and is fine built as is.

insulate the shield of each coil with an insulating material such as tape eg to avoid the two touch screens.
