    You made an error here..

The Tx will be the high voltage
The Rx will be the low voltage

You require the scope grounds to attach to the copper around the edge of the pcb.

Te Rx level here should only be milli volts it often better to measure Rx volts at output of the Rx preamp - In this case as much as 200mV peak to peak is ok.

The Tx volts should be between 10 and 20volts peak to peak

Use x10 probes so you load the ciruitry less.

    i check it
which opamp your mean about the RX coil?
    thanks

No one knows if its suitable for highly mineralized ground?

Most fault have been a wrong value resistor somewhere it's easy to put say a 47k instead of a 4.7k I have done that before now. All the resistors measure okay in circuit with a multi meter except for two that are parallel on the PSU side these measure about half of what they should.

    Hope it gets fixed soon.

please see the below pic and tell me correct or no?about the sens volum and probes of the scope

I think VR3 was originally to set your Disc gate position in time WRT the Tx.

I would imagine Eduardo observed ony limited tune range on this - so made it a fixed resistor.

There was a double diode on the GEB second filter/amp this allowed more signal through befor limiting - a single diode is common now.

It is very confusing, I agree, and I imagine a note on the website saying the PCB, the parts and the Schematic dont line up would forewarn purchasers to opt in or not.

Yes board is different to the one I did. The other diode was original on the right hand edge about 3/4 of the way down now no longer there. I believe eduardo1979 made some improvements which have been incorporated but have seen no announcement to say the boards have changed.

Has anyone in Australia built this for gold prospeting? If so, how does it perform in mineralized soil?

    Yes I built the coil.

used the specs from the front of the thread
TX wire from 0.70 to 35 laps - 0.587 mH - within 1 mF capacitor
RX wire from 0.15 to 270 laps - 35.6 mH - 0033 mF condenser inside

and used the Don Bower's TGSL 101 for the shape

Did you build your own DD? if so, do you have a schematic for the coils? The vid on YT of this project is impressive to say the least.. yesterday I worked on the parts list. About the Silverdog board, in that they don't answer emails it makes me doubt I'll actually the get the product I'm buying.. not to mention the fact I got permanently barred from paypal for selling tree bark (no joke) - which is Silverdogs only payment option. If you can contact Silverdog, please let them know that "PLIMUS" is an excellent alternative to paypal - works even better than paypal come to think of it. - Thanks for the tips
