I think you have it. The 0 volt track is the one attached to the minus side of the battery.It usually runs around the outside edge of the board, but you should be easily able to trace it from the battery- lead.

Cut 220uf track and make a bridge would be work right, and for two 10uf i will make a new hole.

Btw the MD is working alright, on the ground the sweep beep almost gone, only the magnetic ground that have long beep at first contact.

i did some research. For a cheap scope check out the Owon VDS1022I model. This has everything you might need. You do need a notebook PC to run it though. This model is unique in its price range be uses it has an isolated USB which keeps you from blowing up your PC!

It is only about $100 in the US. Funny becuase it is made in China!
As far as negative voltage out of 78l05 you must have your leads to the meter reversed. black should always go to grnd (battery minus) What is the reading?

For now I need pin pointing probe, the last time i use the md its very difficult to find a nail without an effort.

The pinpoint is very good to, 1 cm resistor legs is detected

Thats why its very hard to find it in the ground with naked aye and search coil.
