For the record a couple more coil Quality figures

    Detech 15x8 mono Q= 4.6
    Nugget finder 17x11 mono Advantage Q= 5.4

This nugget finder like the 14x9 Advantage is a great coil, but this one is very quiet on difficult ground and has got many multi-gram bits at depth, hopefully a multi-ounce bit one day.

Another factor that probably contributes to these coils being so good that I didn't mention earlier would have to be the wire used. Although stated to be Litz, it is not in the truest sense as it doesn't have the bundle twist so synonymous with Litz, most probably because it doesn't have that many individual conductors. I'm not going to list the details here as to numbers and gauge because that would not be helpful to their business, but like Minelab it is the minimum required to reduce inter-winding coupling. That's where your AC resistance comes in Moodz, the less counter-eddys around the individual loops the less counter-electromotive force to restrict your current flow, which should produce a greater field strength for given current.

Not only does Litz help this, I imagine a basket weave should reduce restrictive EMFs even more. I'm only guessing though.

    Kev.

It seems, that the forum-trolls are very quiet now, afraid of making any claims and afraid of being tarred & feathered..
I'll post the coil analysis results on the other forum, when I have finished the long lasting calculations. Members there will get full & free access to the Excel table with the results.
(I'm teasing the forum-trolls - they should think of their claims once again... *LOL*)

    Cheers,

I have claimed, that Moodz coil will outperform a ML coil when properly shielded. Because Moodz coil is a nice basket/spider weave coil.
    I can prove my claims!!!
But it will cost you donald duck bucks. I have to fund the lots of barrels of tar & chicken feather!

    Now prove me wrong chickens!

I have NEVER said that Moodz coils are better than any commercial coil! What i have said is that spider wound coil i tested was in my opinion better than ANY equivalent sized commercial mono!!! You need new glasses! As for not knowing what you are talking about you are the very best example! You have been unable to provide ANY technically valuable or correct input in to this topic!

You are getting as bad as Doug in answering a question with a question. Do you know how long before a field test with Moodz's new coil is going to take? That is a simple question. I wish Moodz would answer it, but I know he will never do it. Especially if the results are what everyone says it will be.

Do you think, I should buy more barrels of chicken feathers?
