change the wires tx <>rx. there is used differencial inputs of preopamp. so middle/general point ground related to RX winding.

TXb is all ready connected to ground on the Bandido. Would connecting the centre of the TX to ground also short out the bucking coil ???? I am probably missing something obvious.

No, proposed Wide-scan is DD design with (to ground) center tapped TX coil. Improper to same wiring in CC design. For CC design you wire according bottom drawing in your post #10. Main TX coil and bucking coil can be replaced by its position too, but you need to let possibilities to reverse bucking coil connection wires (if needed).

why TX? i see in Golden umax schematic drawed by Carl M. CLASSIC tesoro's generator they use in all models.
done on ONE transistor. so give some board/coil pics and schematics you see there center taped TX coil.

Sehnal jsem tovární cívku S.E.F. 5 pin pro Tesoro, má asi zapojení jak je na obrázku, na 10 kHz má posuv 40°, 12kHz - 50°, 15kHz - 75°(přibližné hodnoty), do 90° jsem pak měnil C12, v DISC. a dosahu žádný velký rozdíl. Zapojil jsem pin 3,4 na RX, 1,2 na TX. Potíž je v nastavení GB, dost ovlivňuje nastavení DISC.

Ahhh built a new coil. Not happy depth is good but threshold pulses up and down about ounce a second very regular causing chirping in discrimination mode
