    Transistor tester hfe/ npn/ pnp. Good for matching transistors , although I don't see need to in hobby application for metal detectors. Maybe useful for audio amplifiers and such, with complimentary pairs.

    Have one. Work quite well Not so good with Higher Resistance Coils. Report BAD or DEFECTIVE. LOL They do work for most coils I've tested.

    Well Damn ! I paid $20.00 for two of these in kit form... Now they can be had for $5.00 more assembled and you even get a Real Probe and not the stupid gator clip crap. LOL

    moded to simply a counter. its easely. just put SMD resistor in a track severing. desolder caps. change C6 on 1-10uF.

    Should have called it a gating led, it blinks when the circuit is being correctly gated, so it counts correctly.

    Hummm Not sure what you mean by the blinking clock led, and I don't have another Freq counter besides that one, However I had measured the freq of my TGSL could and it was bang on with the TX should be at.
