Transistor tester hfe/ npn/ pnp. Good for matching transistors , although I don't see need to in hobby application for metal detectors. Maybe useful for audio amplifiers and such, with complimentary pairs.

It's an educational device. It teaches the suckers not to believe that cr4p. But, sad to say, some are very slow learners. Witness the number of bottom feeders on the lrl forum.

Have one. Work quite well Not so good with Higher Resistance Coils. Report BAD or DEFECTIVE. LOL They do work for most coils I've tested.

Well Damn ! I paid $20.00 for two of these in kit form... Now they can be had for $5.00 more assembled and you even get a Real Probe and not the stupid gator clip crap. LOL
They're sure not a Tektronix but work dang good for a pile of stuff. https://www.banggood.com/Original-JY...r_warehouse=CN

Should have called it a gating led, it blinks when the circuit is being correctly gated, so it counts correctly.

Hummm Not sure what you mean by the blinking clock led, and I don't have another Freq counter besides that one, However I had measured the freq of my TGSL could and it was bang on with the TX should be at.Originally posted by 6666 View PostI got one, check it with a known freq source to get used to the freq display, also it has a clocking led that needs to be blinking with the input signal
