The difficult thing is to read all 81 pages of this post,asking for things already answered in here is depended on the mood everyone has...My experience:When i tried to build this md i asked which is the correct schematic and pcb,noone answered back so i took a chance on the authors notes,i say chance because in a 80 pages post many things may change since the original,many improvements might be done..At the authors blog says about the 3 debug numbers that i didnt understand what they do yet but while damping i tried to keep them close to specs..In general is a stable detector in the bench but in reallity is a lot "noisy" out in the field,i hope that because i dont shield my coils yet..You should try and build one and suit it up to your needs...I must say it can discriminate in a way and based on ID and ferrousness i can tell what kind of metal i detect...Author says it can detect cavitys on the ground when displayed "!"..

As the error message says the file is larger than mcu's eeprom..Did you try to "chip erase" ?? When my felezjoo counter locked i erased device reprogrammed the chip (on board i soldered miso-mosi-clock-reset and supply pins) and it went down smoothly,didnt have to use the "eeprom_clear" hex file posted above..Im not familiar with the software you re using..
