i want to know how to change the words on the LCD

You will need the source code to do that properly, and the designer has no intention of releasing it.Originally posted by Mr.Jaick View Posti'm not looking for ABC adjusting info

However, you may be able to hack the hex code, depending on what it is that you actually want to change.

I think graphite paint will be enough for box shielding, just to protect from any static. All radio junk will come from coil, in any case.Originally posted by ionut_mtb View PostEmersonpaz I have similar coil, Outside diameter 12cm, wire i think is 0.5mm. For better performance you have to make less groves in order that the wire don't cross so many times to keep the capacity low. Also need to use as a former material with good dielectric constant (teflon, xps). Good quality build of pcb, i like it!
Vadim18 this part i understand with the coil shield. But what about Pcb shield (aluminium or graphite paint for case/box)? PCB ground plane is 0V.

You can isolate digital part from analog by aluminium shield, i drawed this shield in your photo.

I tried to make the coil as close as possible to the designer recommend advice. My numbers are lower, i did not tried yet the potentiometer to adjust. 390 ohm for dumping is ok for me, i checked with oscilloscope. First number can be little adjusted by modifying the pulse width. I think your coil has different inductance/resistance- and result is A411. Good job you did with the project.Originally posted by Emersonpaz View Postionut_mtb as the ABC numbers were with this coil it was necessary to adjust the value of the damping resistor?.with my bobiba the values were high A411 B754 C816. I will make the adjustment with the potentiometer to see the closest correct value.

Thanks for the tips! Will see if i have enough space for the analog/digital shield to fit inside box.Originally posted by Vadim18 View PostI think graphite paint will be enough for box shielding, just to protect from any static. All radio junk will come from coil, in any case.

i tried changing the ASCII code of the intro and save the HEX then upload that hex to the micro it didn't work
tried with TNM and Extreme Burner

maybe the programm dont let you to make changes, maybe it check the checksum. i plan to try it too. if i succeed , i will tell you.Originally posted by Mr.Jaick View PostI just want to change the intro <<METALDETECTOR BLAH BLAH>>

If you patch the hex file manually, you need to update the checksum on each modified line ( last byte of the line ):I just want to change the intro <<METALDETECTOR BLAH BLAH>>

I calculated the checksum in EEPROM section put it in the last data pocket but no resultsOriginally posted by F117 View PostIf you patch the hex file manually, you need to update the checksum on each modified line ( last byte of the line ):

probably not the right place to do the checksum
any recommendations?
