Well, can you construct a better circuit and introduce it here?

You can also ask same, intel corp. for their newset 8 core 5GHz processor ?
Isn't "free lunch poem" come from the west ?

Anybody made it yet?
Any video?

[Andi68]

Unfortunately not, my board has not even arrived yet

Still waiting for pcb's from china

[bernte_one]

it can take up to one week within germany, depending of quality and mood of the deliver service
last time the european buddies from abroad get it quicker than people from germany

[Andi68]

My board has arrived.
How fast I'm done, I know? not yet, we have heat here,
I'm getting very lazy ......

My boards have arrived and are very nice, ran into a problem with parts cannot get a BC516 unless I buy 400,
the closest PNP darlington I can get only has a HFE of 750 which is very low and probably not suitable

[scs]

You can make yourself a Darlington from two transistors, no problem.

[Andi68]

But I'm just considering whether a BC516 is really necessary as a driver for the TIP31?
In my opinion there is a BC327-40

[Andi68]

Damn, the LF357 is very expensive, it should give a cheaper replacement type.

I found some MPSA64 in my junk box will try those

The other day i went to local scrapyard. Scrapyards are sometimes like flea markets for me, only cheaper, lot of fun and dirt! And costs nothing!
And sometimes i get lucky.
That day i was very lucky!
I discovered some special medical equipment, large metal box.
Inside large pcb, all shiny! (gold)
So i chop it out, put in a car and drive back home.
What i discovered on it?!!!!!
- 19 x AD712 in special package, gray strip over the chip (probably meaning something).
- 11 x AD711 ....
- 9 x OP37 ......
- 1 x Xsis2712-B Dc-Dc 24V In/200V Out
a lot more material which i can't recall right now.
REAL FORTUNE!
Top quality! No fakes!
Price = 0.00
...
So... OP37 is kinda interesting enough to replace LF357.
(what's good for Garrett - probably is good for us too)
