Hello my friends,,I'l made a TR locator but he is beeping all the time and dont react at some metall object near him,,,,Does anybody can help me?,,and what function have s1 and s2.

Hi strujas. I believe that there is not problem with coils dimension but with wrong angle. Put the sensitivity at low and then try to regulate the coils to be vertical (it will stop to beep). When will stop to beep then give more sensitivity. If again beeps then make a fine tuning at coils angle and you are OK to find the treasure .

Hi Geo and to all friends of the posts.
Geo, i m back from my vacations to the beach and i pass a nice time with my Clone PI metal detector. I found lots of coins and also some low value rings.
But i couldn´t tried a place that people said it must have lots of pirates threasures. This place is very close to the beach, but is full of trees and rocks. So for that i really need to build a 2 box metal detector. Reading and reading the posts, i still confiusing on wich schematic will best fill my needs. Parts of some detectors are not easily found.
Gary tried to modifies and build an old two box, but he said that it was not a good project. May be this project needs more study and tries, who knows?
There is another detector from Russia, but components are not know from local electronics suppliers.
There is no problem for me to re-draw a circuits i use Sprint Layout, Livewire, PCBwiz and eagle.
Any help will be really appreciated.

Well, i m not shure if this detector is from Russia, but i found it on a Russian web site and also i see it here.
This is the TR locator.
Finally, let me know if you think i can build and make work your project, this is because i have the feeling that you didn´t make to much tests to it.

No I haven't built that one and I don't have the time right now to do it.

Hi Nelson. The schematic is from Russia and it works. If i remember right as Sevzirfo wrote me the T/R Locator has the ability to Find a very big object (auto) at 4..5 m. This is a modify schematic of Locator maybe by KT315. I don't remember right but i think that someone at this forum constructed it.
It is a easy project. Try it .

Yes, i decided to build the TR locator, but i need to now a few things:
1.- Replacements or correct value for D1 and D2 (both are marked D311)?
2.- Value for the meter
3.- Correct values for C13, C14, C1, C7, C15, C16 and C3. This are marked number plus mkF, what is mkF?
4.- Need details for both coils
5.- On the modified shematic, there are two diodes marked 1N4150. I don´t have this, so wich diode replacement can do the job?
6.- There are two schematics, the original and a modified version that contains the 1N4150 diodes, wich one are best?
7.- I have the PCB, but i´ll like to know if this is the correct one.
I hope you or anyone can help.

I don't know the internal resistance but try a 200uA (micro)

The version with IN4150 is a clever modify by KT315. Both are the same.

I think it is correct. There are two pcb's. One with jumbers and one without. You must try this with jumpers.

mira nelson, las bobinas las puedes hacer cuadradas, estas pueden ser de cualquier medida, claro esta que segun el tamaño alcanzaras mas profundidad, mas no sera mucha mucho, asi que te recomiendo un tamaño el cual puedas cargar, algo un poco mas grande que un maletin pequeño, en cuanto a las vueltas del alambre pues no se precisa mucha exactitud de todos modos funciona, pero creo que te saldra mejor de 160 vueltas o mas, y en cuanto al grado de grosor del alambre de cobre, pues no se precisa tampoco mucha exactitud, en este circuito funciona casi con cualquier grosor, lo puedes hacer con alambre de cobre 30 o 28 26 incluso 22, y en cuanto a la distancia, entre cajas" pues recuerda que entre mas separadas profundizan un poco mas, y entre mas juntas detectan objetivos mas chicos, yo te recomiendo no muy largo, mas o menos un metro, esa medida localiza un ring de auto a mas o menos un metro de profundidad, y esa es la medida en diametro que dan la mayoria de los entierros, y es la profunidad estandar en que estan los entierros civiles o urbanos, si separas mas las cajas" tendras dificultad para encontrar por ejemplo un cofre, ya que lo discriminara", no lo sensibilizara, y es que ese tipo de circuito casi no detecta la oxidacion circundante, asi que tendra problemas para encontrar objetos demasiado pequeños y sera muy util por ejemplo en grandes cantidades a mas de dos metros
un abrazo hermano, en cuanto al trasmisor si te parece muy complicado, te aconsejo que le acoples otros antiguos, hay muchos cn solo un transistor, o dos, solo buscale desarrollarle la misma frecuencia, con los condensadores, te funcionara igual o mejor
ta la vista nelson y hazlos con calma, con mucha paciencia y poco a poco, checa que oscilen, usa una bocinita, o un radio de am o onda corta para confirmar que esten los trasmisores mandando" checa señales y todo sera mejor

pd geo, esas enormes balas que presentas y a tan baja profundidad yo te las encuentro con un electroiman jjajajajaja, claro si fueran de hierro

mira nelson yo te aconsejo que afirmes bien las conexiones quitables o atornillables de las dos cajas, para que no se mueven, ya que al rozar estas `por ejemplo con hierbas podrian hacer mover la calibracion, entre las dos cajas" la barra manual de enmedio o sea de donde se toma, te recomiendo sea de madera, para mas estabilidad de señales, ya que si pones un tubo de aluminio este te robara parte de la señal y no alcanzaras la misma profundidad, haz un palo de madera mas o menos grueso y cuadrado, no demasiado grueso, le pones en los extremos unas conexiones muy rigidas de metal, y muy firmes y las atornillas a cada caja con dos o tres tornillos ajustables todo esto debe quedar muy rigido, y el ajuste movil de la caja de enfrente muy estable tambien, hazlo todo bastante firme, y veras que te funcionara todo mejor
