    ivconic, what is to serve people in your mind? I say - we must GET UP the forum on new level. my person role I see to help do it. why if I bring new project from our world you charge me blame attacking? this is my right to bring or do not bring schematics what I see. HOLY RIGHT! if you bring new schematic i say you - THANKS GUY you did your Home Work! IS THIS BLAME ATTACK ON YOUR RIGHT? NO, IT IS NOT!!!
    leave native advertizing to yourself please. what you want, Fisher-1265 or Tesoro, if you like it. make me happy.

    ps. thank you for the black advertizing of Godograph. but to be honest VDI is not need in additional advertizing.

      You are constantly using irony to spiting and mocking the rest of us, us who trying to input new life in old projects. Reading your posts man can get only one impression; that it is shame and blame to deal with old Fishers and Tesoros.....
      It sounds almost like you saying: " ..those ignorants does not know anything better..ha,ha,ha.....but we - russians, we are the smartest ones! .."
      I dont pick you - you better stay of picking me. I dont spit at your "godoraphs" - you dont spit on my oldies.
      Do not comment other works, do not peak, do not harass. If you want to post something you are welcome...if dont - your right.
      It seems that you forgot what is the real meaning of metal detector?
      Let me explain again;
      the real meaning and goal of metal detector is to accuratelly locate metal burried in soil! End of definition. End of statement.

      Why should i waste money, nerves, my precious time and all other things, to bug my self with russian poetic philosophy, while at the same time i can gain MUCH, MUCH BETTER results with improved TGSL or 1265??
      For what benefit is some funny, stupid Nokia LCD put on some funny, stupid blah..blah "metal detector" ???
      My philosophy is to make simple but powerfull and most accurate device and as soon as possiblle go outdoor to prospecting. And i am usually do that and am very satisfied and succesfull on the field.
      Also...on the other side..to keep my knowledge up to date, i am collecting all new informations and buy some of new products on this subject.
      So...i will ALWAYS spend any money on new White's and Minelab. Why? Simply cose those reached endest possiblle limits in this technology.
      So if i want some high tech device - i do know right address! I dont need your stupid remarks and advertisments.
      You freely may continue with what you are doing mostly here, i dont mind at all.
      But stay of mentioning my name in negative contest, with mockery pointed on my hobby and my love - analogue metal detector projects....even if those dated 30 years ago. Simply it is my choice, i like that way. And i will continue to discover and mod all other old and obsolete projects made by Fisher, Tesoro, White's, Minelab and Cscope...
      My hobby, my love, my choice.
      50 years from now (i am affaid i will not live that long) i will also enjoy this same hobby, and will also use Sprint Layout 4.0 to draw simple schematics and pcb's.....
      So..what problem do you have with this?
      Sober up for once, please!

      Again we risk to spoil main subject here! Again you started and i couldn't resist and had to stand and defend my standing points!!
      Stop starting rubbish argues. Stop being what you turned in recently.

      Back to subject;
      I have my favorite members here also:
      Carl,Max,Quiaozhi,Nakky,ApBerg,Geo,J Player,Eugene 52,Sean Goddard,KingJL,Andy F,Esteban,Nelson,Okantex,Sasho,Aziz,Porkluvr,Reg, Simonbaker,Tarsos,Tinkerer,ZdenekHQ,Bugwhiskers,Ch emelec,Detectoman,Dell Winders,1843,AFT72005,Alexismex,Amtech2005,Robert, Dirceu,Foma,KT315 (sober one),Friday,Morgan,...and maybe 4-5 people more....am very SORRY cose cant name their nicks now..

          Voting for your favorite members is not what Carl is asking for:

          I think the general idea is to give every member a chance of winning, but with the chance of winning weighted in favor of participation. In other words, it's as if each post counts towards a ticket in the raffle. But the problem is that not all posts were created equal. How much is a a technically informative post worth, compared to a "Way to go!", or duplicated post? This is probably too difficult a task to resolve, and the only solution is to simply to take the absolute number of posts.

          Here's some ideas for inclusion in the draw (raffle):
          1. Number of posts >= 100
          2. Reputation >= 10
          3. Warnings = 0
          4. Infractions = 0
          5. User name must begin with "Q" and end with "i". (Just joking!)

          This would reduce the entries to a manageable size, and even a real physical hat could be used for the draw. If there are 3 prizes, then draw out 3 cards. Then place these cards in order of number of posts.
          Alternatively, you could do this electronically, counting each post as an entry to the draw. In this case, press the button 3 times to get the winners. Also, no-one should be able to win more than one prize.

            Maybe the number of replies to the posts could be taken into account.
            Nobody answers to a "way to go" i think.
            But i don´t know if this data appears somewhere.

              But I want it to be REAL participation... on some forums I see folks who just post a bunch of "Way to go!" messages and not much else. That hasn't happened here, but with a contest it might. Those kinds of posts shouldn't count as an entry.

              Looking fer ideas...

              - Carl
              I think this contest should be on Existing Posts, possibly giving more weight to persons posting in the past year or two as they are probably still here and participating.

              For giving More Weight, You could put 3 slips for persons posting the most, 2 Slips for medium numbers of post and only 1 slip for low volume posters.

              I think just putting these name in a hat and drawing from that should be good. As not everyone may be on this forum to actually enter if its a "Post now" situation.

              (That Includes me, as I am going for Lung Cancer treatment over the next few months or so.)

              Take care...All.

                Starting with post beginning two years ago.

                Determine the Square Root of each persons number of post.

                Issue one random number times this Square Root!

                I/E Square Root for me = 10.

                I would be issued 10 random numbers to be placed in the hat.

                This would place weight on the individuals that posted the most over the past two years and still give us small fish a chance!

                    The number of posts isn't a good idea... For example bbsailor's posts are as half as of mine. But I've just asked a lot of questions while bbsailor has answered and helped others...

                        I add congrats also to Carl for best forum on web. So many contributions to learn from, I'm very grateful. I've only had time to dabble in TGS, so my interest is there for now. To me, Ivconic is personality of TGS, but all others especially original circuit contributor make critical contributions. Some day I hope to contribute something new too, some variation or improvement. Maybe not until I retire and have real time!

                        Cheers to all!

                          Each can made a list of 10 persons. Later, the admins sum and select the persons with more votes. Like this (my list). The order doesn't mean a category. Just a list.

                          1. Ivconic
                          2. Bbsailor
                          3. Qiaozhi
                          4. Max
                          5. J_Player

                            I love this site!

                            I would give up any or all claims to this Prize. ( DONE )

                            Just Make it open to the New Folks too or your going to loose Integrity as a site.

                            Is this site Open to one and all?

                            Is it a club?

                            I have my old machines that I am trying to fix up via this site.

                            I will be here , Prizes or Not!

                              I offer to split a contest on few ones.
                              #1 - gurus' contest, grand prize
                              #2 - first 20 members from forum list according to posting
                              #3 - first 100 members from forum list
                              #4 - all members
                              a prizewinner of a contest does not take part in low following one.
