Sir Funfinder, today i go to some old pales. in that pales one big underground area also present. on that underground i walk with jeohunter. battery is full, sensitivity is 80%, iron is ON, in this conditions my jeohunter shows cavity is 0%, Metal 5%, But iron is 85 to 95% in some places, in some places valuable is 90 to 98%. in both places metal % is only 5% to 8%. in graph also there is no rise points. it is cool and study going. what is this situation please give me idea.

The most important thing in such a complicated situation is
good information.

The real Jeohunter hardware-profis are located in Istanbul, Turkey.
Those have developed everything and know exactly the special
spots to locate the problem, to trace the circuit and where to
start. Those have the technical equipment for this task.

This is a 3 layer PCB (printed circuit board) with modern
devices on board - chips for the grafic and the computer
operating system even very experienced electronic-cracks
can't repair if a heavy or hidden damage was done.


If you are done with the final tests (variable resistor with
already removed chip) and again no result there's not
much to do, especially without the needed money.

You may order a working digital potentiometer chip
and perhaps your soldering-skills already are good enough
to attach it (is not a big problem, you could use little
connection-wires leading to the chip, too).

You cannot do any more damage, because the damage was
done already directly after the faulty accupack connection.

So you should try the final tests, you have nothing to lose.




btw. one of your older screen-pictures has shown that
perhaps the coil-detection circuit was damaged, too.


geo-i, this is no simple analog radio to repair, this is digital.
There are moving highspeed pulses from chip to chip
also known as data-transfers and a multimeter is not enough
to find out if everything works ok.


Back to the needed information:

have you mailed makro group and asked how much would
it cost to buy an used replacement board inclusive 2 accupacks?
If not, please ask so we have this information.

How much money could you spent for the Jeohunter repair?

What do you think would be the best solution?

please can you translate "pales" with a different word?

The big question is:
Do you have heavy mineralized ground at this location?
Do you have analyzed the signal with the scan button?

Your described values are standing for iron objects.
But without proper ground balance or coil to ground
distance at heavy mineralized ground the detector could
have been moved outside of the "quiet reset zone range"
and then there is no metal at all.


Reduce sensitivity and use the scan anlayzing described in
the pdf manual at page # 30 ( printed page # 28 )

Getting an Analysis report by Analyzing the Target:

so you can go shure if it really is a deep metal object.


You can bury a metal object at some low mineralized area
and find out at which sensitivity you get the best for you
at the moment readable results. Or you can bury a metal
object directly at this pales area, perhaps there are piles.


Simply keep in mind:
Press the reset button outside of the detection area and scan
or detection results must be repeatable, clearly and identical.

Don't ignore all my warnings I've written @ the modification-manuals concerning that someone really wants to try this mods and the detailed info about the accu-pack which works in the first time! But geo-i made a mistake later and mistakes can happen, terrible mistakes. It can happen faster than someone can think about. All the thousands of deaths each year out on the streets are proof enough.

Perhaps it was fate, perhaps the time was not ready for this, perhaps the actual loss of the Jeohunter saved geo-i's life if he would have found a bomb at his bunker site. And making everything right in life is no warranty that nothing bad can happen.

geo-i, I really gave my best for helping you to repair your
Jeohunter and I'm happy you also have seen it the same way.

Sometimes repairing stuff is unbelievable complicated.

As example today and yesterday I tried to repair my little
snapshot-digicam - the lens didn't moved out anymore.

I had to disassemble the cam almost completly, I had to
find out how the mechanism works and finally I have
attached the front lens in a completly different way than
it was before. And - voila - I've been successful.
150 Euros saved!

btw. I took alot of Jeohunter pix with this cam because at
treasurehunting I had this digicam with me all the time.

But without extremly care and the needed tools it would
have been totally impossible to repair it.

btw.
2 days ago I bought 2 plastic wheels with 10cm diameter
so I can built something for the 1m Jeohunter coil
and if snow is gone I post some interesting tests.

geo-i, I hope you will get enough money and motivation
back soon again and hopefully a replacement board so
you finally can start treasurehunting with the Jeohunter.

And for the moment you need patience and always think:
You can never know for what a bad thing was good in the end.

At least now you have some very special replacement-parts
sometimes can became really precious.

Why this device always puts people in a fight??? here in Turkey also whenever Makro jeosonar(jeo hunter etc) or Nokta goldenking(or goldengate) metal detectors are inside in any topic, there people are getting crazy and swearing on each other... obviously these are stress devices, no matter for the user or the seller

You will find it more depth?
Sensitivity of 100% can not get your balance.
If your metal is old you can detect this metal to the depth.
I,15 years ago, a ferrous metal, with dimensions 70 * 40 cm was buried at a depth of 3 meters.so i go to detect this target, by makro and my makro can detect this target at the 80%sensevity.

should not try this tecnique in real - you could end up
bumping into some trees, roots or other stuff.

Yeah, that's the way of "circle-scanning"!
Either you like it or not.
It may feel great to be the "gravity center" of your own world...

btw. if you only look straight at the coil and make a counterturn
when you found something usual you won't get very dizzy.

However it is the only real efficient way if you want to
look for treasures at sites where not every centimeter lies
a target.
Even 1 person holdable eliptical DD 1m coils could be
realizable which would be much better because you
could cover around 4 meters of diamater in one turn!
