    Hi Marius,

the info sharing with the 1m coil has just begun, now I'm finally ready with the ropes and belts for fixing the wheels.
(see picture below) Weather already is OK for outside tests and I hope I'll have time soon for them.

The coil ground distance (limit) depends on mineralization, sensitivity setting and experience concerning false signals.

15-20cm is a good medium value but its possible to drag the 1m coil even directly over the floor
if the conditions and user skills are high enough (for going extra deep).

The higher such coil is above the ground, the less sensitivity but also fewer wrong signals.
If 2 people are walking with this coil, on very flat sites there will stronger up-down movements
occure compared with driving this coil carefully at the same distance over the floor.
especially if there are old roads, trails or streets and very plain areas.

btw. i'm using a flat foam-gum for inbetween wheel-device and coil for better hold and less vibrations.

This coil now is perfectly balanced at the wheels and can be moved easily with one hand.
Soon you may see here my first outside test pix. Can't wait to walk the dog ehm the 1m coil!

    Hi, Funfinder!

Thanks for continuously sharing your insights with us! A question about the pictures above - as I read from the manual, the 1m coil should be 15-20 cm above the ground, however, it looks as it is 5-10 cm max. In this regard a question - how seriously should one take the 15-20 cm limit and what are the consequences of changing it?

1m coil ready for single person usage!

At the pix below you can see now the finished result.

Because the coil cable originally leads directly through the lower part of
the glass-fiber stem, I had to unsolder and resolder it at the connector.

For pushing or pulling the coil (both methods are possible) I'm using the
formerly original upper part of the usual coil-holder.

For the standard coil I built already a more lightweight alu-version
so I have now two different ones - and the best:

Both of them have an extra reset button included at the handle region!

To attach the wheel-device I'm using short ropes and polyester-belts.

On the pictures you see the "narrow" moving version which uses the
original stem-mounting. It will detect more precisely but it needs
    longer distances for moving.

But the moving with the broad side variante also is possible:

Therefore a fitting board (wooden etc.) is needed inbetween coil
and wheel-device. To attach the stem only a little piece of
rope is needed which is wound around the middle of the coil and
leads through the stems plastic-screw hole.
The 1m coils cable is long enough to be used that way, too.

For pinpointing an additional small metal-detector would be good,
because an usual pinpointer may be not working good enough.

I guess that this new single usage version with wheels will be
even faster than the usual 2 person holding and walking around method.

Because of the wheels you even can run and if the ground is flat enough
it's very simple to move the coil all the time at a very good distance over the floor.

If two coil-holding persons would run over a field such task is much more complicated.

Well, the time (snow melts away) now is OK, so let's see when I will be able to report
about my first live-test. I'm very curious by myself because so far I never had tested
how good this coil works under real natural conditions. This coils reaches very good depths,
but I also wanna find out how deep it detects medium sized stuff and other things.

    Hi Marius,

Great that you like my stuff here, well you know, it's always good to: "Think BIG" !

We also had -15° Celsius recently here in the middle of March.
Have to find a country with many treasures and much better temperatures the whole year...
btw. One of the biggest treasures in life is having all the time high motivation !!!
    (and icy weather destroys treasure-hunting-motivation)

    Your questions:

The new Deephunter combines the old "audio mode" models from makrodetector with the LCD-Screen Jeohunter
and it was improved by a new motion circuit including more lightweight and easy to use DD coils.
So everybody can simply choose what he prefers with just one and the same electronic-box:

    a) non-motion detection over LCD screen including cavity with small, medium or even 1m coil (= "professional mode, manual GB etc.")
    b) easy motion detection with energysaving LCD off and metal-recognition by 3 different sounds for smaller or larger, deeper finds (2 coils)

    1
    1.1
The Deephunters motion mode is specialized for those 2 new lightweight DD-coils only.
One of those, the large C47 (39x47 cm) could be slightly deeper than the Jeohunter medium large standard coil,
because of the improved motion circuit and the slightly larger size - but so far I assume it only detects metal objects.
Because of the motion circuit and the improved less weight it is better for "usual detector used" persons
and it will also detect easier smaller things if the ground ist medium to heavy mineralized.
And the new C32 (26x32 cm) coil will also detect much better very small stuff.
(not to forget there exists also a small coil (ca. 25x35cm) for the usual Jeohunter)

For pinpointing coins the new smaller motion coil will work shurely very good,
but for coins you can use any 300 bucks and upwards detector.
But for the customers it's good, so they have a larger selection to choose what fit's best to their needs.

The new C47 motion DD coil only will detect better as the 1m coil to a certain distance.
For larger and deeper objects the 1m coil still will do a much better job.
Especially because motion circuits are always "ground-blurring".
It also depends how strong the motion circuit reacts on electro-smog
and how much experience you have to filter out still useful signals from the critical high sensitivity level noise.
This can be a tricky task and it can take 1 Minute and dozens of sweeps until you know a signals real worth.
But that way you can find very deep and week signals also with motion detectors under high e-smog conditions
if the outputted signals are fine and raw enough! The keyboard-beeping of the Garrett Ace 250 or 350 under
E-Smog conditions doesn't allow any more distinction of good or bad signals, but the new output of the
new Deephunter is good enough for such extreme borderdepth detection, as we can see at the new airtest videoclips.
(links to those clips: see Deephunter thread)

    1.2.
    > Is motion mode also capable to detect cavities?
Yes, but afaik not from the Deephunter.
Because the new Deephunter already has inbuilt non-motion mode cavity-detection in profi-mode.

That way the nonmotion mode can output better understandable signals and the automatic ground balance is easier to use.

The Fisher 1266-X or the Blisstool LTC 64 have motion mode cavity (and high mineralized rocks) detection by an audible double-beep
but because of the relative small coils this only works not very deep or only for large stuff.

    > Is there any machine at all that has the motion coil similar to T100 and gets much deeper than JeoHunter?

No one I would know so far, and the larger the coil the heavier it would be to move fast enough for a motion circuit.

    1.3
    > Considering the price difference of 1000 EUR and if you already have a JeoHunter Dual, would you recommend purchasing DeepHunter in addition? Are they so different?

It depends how is your main search-activity related and is it worth the additonal costs.
The new Deephunter makes some things more easy, the new "medium" large 47cm DD coil is more lightweight,
the Deephunter saves energy because the LCD is off, if you are experienced you can hear "magic voices" out of the
motion circuit signals and you don't have to press the reset button many times to adjust the ground-coil level back into "silent region".

As long as I don't have any personal compare tests concerning the Deephunter with 47cm coil with the Jeohunter and standard 42cm coil
it's not possible to give accurate info what are the exact differences or improvements.
I assume that the new Deephunter incl. 47cm could be ca. 20% deeper because of improved circuit and other factors,
and it makes a better job for the smaller stuff and especially for the medium sized and medium distant finds (5cm stuff at 50cm depth).

It may be even 35% deeper if the the ground is just medium mineralized, if there is no electro-smog around
(perhaps the Deephunter is fully immune against e-smog anyway, but not tested so far) AND, most important,
if someone has already enough experience to identify the extremly weak but still "good" signals.
But if it doesn't react with a double beep on stuff below the ground-balance level, cavity detection is no option for the new motion circuit & coils.

    2.
About the coil and wheels - shouldn't the wheels be aligned with the shorter edge of the coil?

Thx for interest for my new wheel-device. Well, it doesn't matter how the wheels are orientated, because the detection is non-motion,
but even if it would be motion it's no problem. You also can move a DD-motion coil from backwards to forwards instead of left and right,
any direction that causes induction imbalances will work.

For the best gravitational balance of such a 1meter coil its the best if the wheels are located at a position of 55% close to the body,
so the back slightly heavier. This is because of the coil-cable and the holder, stem etc. which add weight which should be compensated.
And if the back is still a bit more heavy its still better because its more easy to push the coil-holder down while dragging the whole thing.

    3.
    > You also wrote in your previous reply that cavity at 7-8 meters depth is beyond the reach of JeoHunter. Can DeepHunter reach that as it is newer?

If the "old" nonmotion circuit that works with 1m coil has been improved, the Deephunter could be indeed deeper, but this circuit already is very
close to the borders of technical power, especially at "Sensitivity 10 setting" so there may not has been changed alot. And the new 47cm motion coil
never can be deeper as the 1m coil, it has less then the half size.

    > Would also be helpful if you can suggest some good but not too expensive machines that can discover cavities at up to 10 m depth.

Some professional magnetometer-ground radars with ground-scanning-software can go that deep, they can detect cavities or buried concrete walls etc.
But I don't know exactly the price and the depth and the companies.
AND: You must be very careful with the results, the output they may show.

A week ago I saw a Doku called "The Treasure Of Jesse James" (you may find it to download somewhere in the internet),
this was about some kind of famous outlaw in the wild west (Kansas etc., USA), they even found a little old gold bar, but by usual metal-detector!

But they also used some sort of radio wave injecting GPR that costs ca. 30.000 dollars. Well - the result was pure frustrating!
They saw some "interesting" flat lines on the screen, they digged 10m deep with an excavator and found: Nothing!

If there are different mineralized layers of soil or huge mineralized rocks even 50.000 dollar equipment may find nothing deeper than 8meters!
So be careful with this stuff and don't waste real huge amounts of money, not just for those GPRs but also for very expensive excavations.

    4.
    > Are there any bigger coils that can be used with JeoHunter and DeepHunter? Or can one be made manually? Any hints?

    A very good question!
An easy way to get a bigger coil would be melting away the 1m coils plastic and create a special "2 box" antenna
made from the 2 large coils inside. The result could be 2 x 70cm diameter coils with a distance of 3meters inbetween.

But you would need professional help to recalibrate the induction.
A trial an error method would be easier, moving the both coils slowly apart and decreasing or increasing the capacitor values.
Of course the new larger coil will need again a high stability or fail-signals would be the result.

Best thing for you to do now, Marius:
mail makrodetector and ask about creating a coil larger than the 1m coil and how good or better is the performance of that coil with the new Deephunter.

Good luck for both of us with better weather soon and lets hope my info will bring you closer to the treasure !!!

    Hi, Funfinder!

Thank you for sharing your interesting ideas with us, you really are the spirit of the forum! And sorry for long silence: I have not been back to forum recently, as here it is -10C to -20C, which makes practicing with JeoHunter impossible. As the weather gets warmer, I will go practicing in April again and hopefully can share new info with you.

During last months I have gathered some insights and questions, which I would like to share with you and which will hopefully be interesting for many in the forum:

    1. JeoHunter vs DeepHunter: as I see, the main difference between those two is the motion search mode (plus some minor changes such as welcome screen, buttons and 4 coils in PRO version instead of 3 coils in Dual version, which results in about 1000 EUR higher price). In regard to the new model, I have the following questions:
1.1. Does the motion mode also impact the maximum depth of the device overall? The motion mode can be used only with smaller C32 (26x32 cm) and C47 (39x47 cm) coils, which suggests that they are only good for pinpointing coins and small objects a bit deeper than non-motion mode coils, but for big objects do not really go deeper than T100 (60x100 cm) coil, which is available also with JeoHunter Dual. Is it so or C47 is really much more powerful in all aspects than T100?
1.2. Is motion mode also capable to detect cavities? According to my information, C32 and C47 are not really meant for cavity detection. Is there any machine at all that has the motion coil similar to T100 and gets much deeper than JeoHunter?
1.3. Considering the price difference of 1000 EUR and if you already have a JeoHunter Dual, would you recommend purchasing DeepHunter in addition? Are they so different? I have a feeling that not really.

    2. About the coil and wheels - shouldn't the wheels be aligned with the shorter edge of the coil? I believe so. Provided that this is the DD-coil, it should be moved the short edges being parallel to movement direction and the long edge facing the movement direction.

    3. You also wrote in your previous reply that cavity at 7-8 meters depth is beyond the reach of JeoHunter. Can DeepHunter reach that as it is newer? Or in other words: is there any opportunity to calculate the maximum depth of cavity detection with these machines? Some other instruments can go to 35 meter deep, but they cost a lot. Would also be helpful if you can suggest some good but not too expensive machines that can discover cavities at up to 10 m depth.

    4. Are there any bigger coils that can be used with JeoHunter and DeepHunter? Or can one be made manually? Any hints?

    Thank you in advance!

    100% plastic!

    > I'll show you this invention in near future.

Well, the future is already now, just 3 days later.

This rolling-device was create from the seat-area of a garden-chair.
Today, within 5 hours. Completly by soldering iron and a knife only.

For attaching to the coil simply a rope is needed which leads through
the both holes and that is wound around the inner region of the coil.

The wheels are ca. 5cm behind the coils center-gravitation-point
so is very easy to draw it and keep the horizontal balance.
Perhaps for drawing I also will use some 1.5m plastic rod for even better balance.

Coil to ground distance is around 10cm with the wheels -
if more distance is wanted something can put inbetween.

The plastic axis' are around 1cm thick, taken from a sponge-glasses-washer.

At the moment it's adjusted for drawing the coil on its "small" side,
but with some adapting tricks I also should be able to draw it with the broad side,
    for covering even more ground.

Of course this is now ment for relative flat and even sites only,
for other areas much larger wheels would be needed.
I guess some car-toys for Kids should have larger plastic-wheels.
But for the moment I'm very happy with my newest invention -
it enables me to use this 1m coil in: "top secret single person mode" !

And now please somebody do such wheel-thing with your 1meter P.I. coil,
I'm curious how it would look like!

    Merhaba tebriz!

Sürprise for you, Jeohunter is from Turkey, Istanbul.

    Here is the official website:
Nokta Dedektör dünyanın en büyük dedektör teknolojisine sahip global bir marka ve Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı onaylı Ar-Ge Merkezidir

The newest Model is the Deephunter:

It is fantastic, it combines ultra deep seeking mode but also hunting for very small coins and nuggets in One!

This special technology was inspired by true treasure-hunters who knows what really counts.

The Jeohunter exists since 2009 but now: Welcome to 2013 and to the new model: Deephunter

Perhaps I will take a trip to Turkey or I will buy it, so I can give you the most competent info - as always.

It's one of the only or the only detector worldwide that contains motion and also non-motion mode.

btw. at the moment I'm working on a rolling device for the 1m coil -
have already the plastic-wheels and next I will attach them; I'll show you this invention in near future.

    Hi,

if you wait too long for reply I think you're gone and it takes longer until I check this thread again.

The best idea would be to dig a crater, that way you can walk with a 2nd person and the coil
at the slopes and you will cover a huge range for detection (see grafic below).

Another option for you of course would be to bury a 1.5m large test object.
You can try in air tests, too, but for the needed experience you better bury it.
That way you will directly get a feeling from what distance and what sensitivity
you are able to find it.

It didn't receive your pictures sended or uploaded by private message.
better attach it here directly but in moderate size.

You should be careful with the metal of fence and roof if it's metal -
the less metal near the hole and on your body the better.

I guess the ground and stones are just medium mineralized so
you will have a good chance.

    Hi Funfinder,

Thank you again for all the information. I think my best option is to scan the area vertical as we already have
a 10 m deep hole. Of course I can go to the bottom of the hole and scan another 2 or 3 or even more meters
down but I think that in the end the vertical option will lead to success.

You say in your last messages that considering a big find of 1.5 will most likely lead most (90%) people
to misinterpret the very weak signal curve as ground mineralization.

Well here my question. How can I get this one right. I know this one is very specific and for sure
needs experience. I'm also aware that different soil and so on can give different readings.

So what I really want to do is to scan vertical. I try to attach a picture to show the type of soil
we have dig out. There are quite a few stones in the soil but few bigger rocks. It also shows the
vegetation around the place. As said before the area is flat and no civilization waste at all.

If you can get me started with this one it would be really appreciated.

I tried to send you a PM but somehow had problems with the comp? Have you got the PM ?

Thanks a lot for your time.

    Hi meaw229a

    > thank you so much for your reply and the useful information. Unfortunately not really
what I wanted to hear. Realistic 3 - 4 meter. Anyway that is as it is.

    You are absolutly welcome!
The 3-4m is the "low level situation", of course you can get 7-8 meters but
therefore the object has to be large enough, the ground has to be "perfect" and
your Jeohunter handling experience and treasure hunting skill should be real good.
The situation is - I must give the middle value here for a more realistic picture!
The Jeohunters 1m coil finds already a litte 4cm silver dollar (1 ounce) already at almost 50cm !!!

So you may be able to calculate at what distance it will find a 1.5 x 1.5 m object.

But under "outdoor conditions" this is more complicated so its much more fair
to give lower level results so even the Jeohunter newbies are not disappointed.
For your situation with 1.5m large objects perhaps 5m depth would be possible
for the experienced treasure hunter, depending on the ground and metal and isolation
of the treasure also 1-2m more could be reached.

And I have another good news - of course you can use the 1m coil vertically!

I have invested 10minutes for you to create a nice picture (see below) where
you can see the 1m coil and the cable. If you connect the cable to the Jeohunter
you can "dip" the coil arund 2.5m into the ground hole or cavity.

You can attach a rope to one of the two already fixed holding-belts and lower
the coil in even very small cracks of the ground.
Of course you have to find out at what side the metal is,
because the coil is able to detect at both sides.

    > With my site I have a few advantages. The land is flat, no hills.

This is very good, and I hope without vegetation.
In that case you can improve the depth for around 30%.

    > There is no chance
that some old rubbish is in the ground.

This saves time and gives you a better impression of the below mineralization compound.
It is also better for a same-staying coil-ground distance while hunting - especially with the 1m coil.

    > From there the only thing I need to know from the jeohunter
is that something is there. I do not need to know what kind of metal it is.

If there are no different mineralized rocks into the ground you have the best chance
to find it out with the Jeohunter because it can signalize all the slightest ground differences.

    > The metal I'm looking for is in the ground for more than 50 years.

Another good factor that will raise your chance in finding the treasure,
especially if there was rain or water in direct contact with the treasures metal or box etc.

    > but at least 1.5 by 1.5 meter if not more.

Such an object will give a really huge signal - I estimate it would be at least 4m even in the ground.
But the more depth the higher the distance factor has, too.
You can't walk slowly over such a deep find and start readjust the detector.
The Jeohunter is absolutly stable so if you walk over such area at high sensitivity setting
you would get a really special signal, on the Jeohunters oszillator screen it would be a
    very large flat curve.

    > I already started digging but without an excavator. I'm down 10 meter and the size is 3 diameter. If the metal
is only a meter or 2 away I can scan from the ground of the hole. But the metal is may be not that deep at all
and I'm only out for a meter or two. My question now is if it is possible to use the coil vertical.

Well - if the "walls" of that hole are just at 45° angle detection would be even better possible
because you can check out the whole suroounding "ground-circle."
Using the coil at an angle or vertically is no problem at all, you only have to be careful
that the cable leading to the electronic-unit doesn't get in touch with too much tension or other critical forces.

    > Is there any chance to upload this
    manual again?

Shure, this is one of the easiest workouts for me. I have attached also the newest english manual.
It is uploaded now to the geotech server and I hope it will keep it for a long time!
Have fun, I have written the german manual personally and I'm standing behind what is written there!
Do you wanna find this treasure in Middle-Europe or Germany - if so perhaps I can help you directly.

    > Unfortunately I'm new to detectors

Forget it, this is no problem at all, if you are interested within a short time you can handle a metal-detector
and you will find out the important rest step by step. No problem, believe me. This is a funny job!

    > Would you be able to bring me on the right track?

No, because everybodys darlin is everybodys *ssh*le! Just joking! :-)
You know, as a treasure hunter you need a huge portion of strange humor! :-)
For me it's no problem to get you on the right track because I see you are already
on the right way by yourself. Just tell me what you wanna know! The "baby" is baken already! :-D

    > Considering I getting the 3 -4 meters out of it that would give me a scanned size of
    max. 10 diameter
No, thats not the real case! If the treasure size is such large (1.5meters) you will get a very weak
signal curve over a large distance, perhaps even 2meters (and not just 10 centimeters).
But the problem is to detect this very weak signal descence at all - 90% would misinterpret such
a signal as ground mineralization or coil-ground differnence etc.
I'm used to detect such extremly weak differences but this needs really experience -
as expample you have to know how the detector reacts under certain special-situations.
The Jeohunter per instance is perfectly immune against electro-smog, you can hunt 10meters
below 380.000 V lines! This is no joke - I have tested it - and no motion-detector can do it.
But if you are outside of all electrosmog or civilization-waste, different ground mineralization and unsteady
coil-ground distance also change the signal level so its really important to know about that parameters.

    > give me some instructions how to do the
calibrating in the best possible way and let me know about common mistakes to help me to avoid them.

You can ask very clever questions, I love it, because it saves alot time and leads us directly to the important things.
If you have already the Jeohunter the best way is when you bury some large test objects real deep and
try finding them. With this method you will get the fastest progress to estimate the real detection chances.

thank you for your real intense interest and don't stop to ask and tell me about any new developments.
If you still unsure to buy the Jeohunter you also can make a nice trip to Istanbul for an realistic demonstration.

Wish you good luck and stay tuned!

Can we take a peek inside the bag with all the finds?

Shure, but not all what you see is just "motivating".

The reason is the following: I wanna clear the whole location from trash so I'm always taking all I can get with me.
This is important because often the real treasures áre buried below or near trash-locations.

This bag is my standard bag and I use it all the time!

The standard content inside this bag always is:

    - metal detector
    - minimum 1.5 liters of energetic drinks
    - 60cm shovel
    - pinpointer
    - knee-savers
    - some snacks or food
    - smaller bags for the finds
    - reserve accus and batteries
    - raincoat
    - special digging tools
    - sunglasses, gloves, small field-glasses, Digicam
    - protection clothes and weather protection bags for the metal detectors
    - flash- and headlights for night-hunt

The Jeohunters bag, improved with reall backpack-stripes, is absolutly the best,
especially if you're car is far away from the hunting location.
35% of this bag is filled with the needed treasure-hunting stuff and the rest you can fill with even very large finds!

Averagely seen - every hunting day I have transported around 5-10kg of finds with this bag - since 3 years.

Some guys already thought I would transport a shot-gun in this Jeohunter-Bag and I would hunt wild dear at night like a poacher,
but I could prove that I only hunt treasures! But you would have enough place in this bag for all kind of weapons if
you have the need for such "precautions". The distance from one corner to the opposite is not small.

    Hi Funfinder,

thank you so much for your reply and the useful information. Unfortunately not really
what I wanted to hear. Realistic 3 - 4 meter. Anyway that is as it is.

I have a few more infos here and also an idea how to go ahead. I would really appreciate
to get your opinion on it.

With my site I have a few advantages. The land is flat, no hills. The land is also unpopulated and
never was. Means if something is in the ground there a human has put it there. There is no chance
that some old rubbish is in the ground. From there the only thing I need to know from the jeohunter
is that something is there. I do not need to know what kind of metal it is.
The metal I'm looking for is in the ground for more than 50 years. From there the surrounding soil should
be perfect metalized. The size of the metal will be also significant. I can't be sure yet but at least 1.5 by 1.5 meter
    if not more.

Means from inside
the hole I scan the walls. Considering I getting the 3 -4 meters out of it that would give me a scanned size of
max. 10 diameter and I strongly believe I will find it in this range. From there the question can I use the coil
    vertical?

Unfortunately I'm new to detectors and I fully understand that experience is necessary to operate a decoder.
Would you be able to bring me on the right track? Means give me some instructions how to do the
calibrating in the best possible way and let me know about common mistakes to help me to avoid them.

In a message 2 years ago you mentioned a manual that you have written about the jeohunter in german
language. I tried to download it but the link does not work anymore. Is there any chance to upload this
    manual again?

Thanks a lot and I really appreciate you help and information.

    Good luck to all

    Jeohunter bag filled

    here

you could see already the Jeohunter bag, but now you can see it stuffed.

Without this bag I wouldn't have been able to transport many oversized finds home.
