just got 12 inch sensitivity on coins with 5 inch coil Anyone have any idea of what is the best wire to run from detector (ckt. board) to coil? (twisted pair, coax or balanced line, etc.)

My first time posting, I just got, and built the kit from Silverdog. it came with 20k pots instead of 25k pots for offset and delay, I hope that is ok? the kit works fine, but only 8 inch sensitivity using 5 inch coil (tested with nickel coin) and bad sensitivity with 9 inch coil. (both coils wound 22 turns copper wire) 5 inch coil uses magnet wire, and 9 inch coil uses Teflon jacketed silver plated copper wire. any ideas would be helpful.
