You said you couldn't tell the difference when the QED was fitted with a low Q coil but it seems you are now obsessed with high Q coils? We can increase Q by just simply increasing diameter but it seems you aren't interested in this? And this... we can improve Q by using wire with many more strands???? And this... we can improve Q with more turns of the same wire???? And at the end of the day a significantly higher Q coil requires circuit changes to work properly in a mL PI and a PI detector doesn't automatically sample earlier if we lower the capacitance so no real advantage in either case. You are just nit picking about stuff you don't understand Doug.
Maybe so parrot But spider wound coils are are far better alternative than ANY of the above methods!!!

Doug, for once in your life why don't you answer with science and logic. Why don't you tell the members what coil the builder of that spider wound coil used on his own detector after playing with the spider wound coil?

Instead of talking out your behind with unfounded statements, present what methodology you used and the data collected that allowed you to make the statement you have made. In other words, as you are wont to say, "put up or shut up!" Note Doug, I did not say "coil parameters".

Just more of your unfounded BS derived from wishful fantasising.

Patches Junior is the one ignoring my questions! We can all understand why you are trying to protect him! The spider wound mono performed BETTER than any commercial coil in the field over typical gold field ground in Vic and that is ALL that matters!!!

Doug .... I made this coil because it is easy and cheap to make ...and a coil can be completely manufactured in around half an hour to an hour plus 24 hours to cure. I never said it was better than a commercial coil except that I can make em cheaper ... Reasonably I could sell these at say 100 bucks ... Which is fair to all. Moodz

Being accused of being one of them.....I would wonder what that is.........and WHY asking a simple question causes a head full of headfr----cks,,,,Not hard to figure it out, me thinks

Circus is in town I would say for toooooo long.......and have overstayed and expressed their negative propaganda.

    All we hear is....Blaaaaa....Blaaaaaaaa.Blaaaaaaaaaa.

PS, the best detector in any field is the actual physical unit being used at present (TODAY), with or without positive results,,,,,attached with supportive documented data....Negative or Positive, let it bee.....Not let it be decided on a few min----nute individuals...

STOP being half a-s-s-s-s, semi-encrypted, Bu****ttte contributers that means nothing ATM, past and present.

    Enough said
