Hi Marty,Originally posted by MartyJ1963 View PostGreat job on the Coil Godigit! Looking forward to seeing your results. When you have time, could you give us a rundown on the build process of your new coil please? I'd like to have a go at it too,,,Thanks, Regards, Marty.
Thanks for posting your progress along the way between you and Lamoiz breaking the ground it makes this project easier.
Ill get some coil shots for you I had to play mechanic this weekend but I made a 18 inch dual field d to try on the minipulse.
Need to see if the coil works in practice, it looks good on the genny.
Best

Discrimination is to the full depth of the PI. Iron does not break through after a certain depth like it [infamously] does with the old Fisher 1265/1266 detectors. Target separation is an area that received much attention during development, and Voodoo is designed to find non-ferrous targets hiding amongst ferrous trash.Originally posted by ionut_mtb View PostI did not gave to much attention to this thread as i have other projects going but for sure caught my eye and in the future i will give a try. Congrats George for this big step and I'm sorry if my question was already asked.
What performance has this hybrid detector? PI depth/vlf depth, sensibility, discrimination at the lower limit for pi depth, reactivity (or target separation)and most important GB. Few words please. thanks
Voodoo also handles moderately mineralized ground very well. There is no requirement to manually ground-balance, as explained in detail in the book.
I don't like to get into debates or arguments about depth comparisons as there are too many factors to take into account. There's also the issue of air tests versus in-ground tests that are not particularly relevant when comparing PIs with VLFs. As I said in a previous post, it's horses for courses.

R22 is the gain adjustment for the DISC channel. Simply turn the preset to its lowest resistance setting for initial testing. The adjustment is provided in case you want to experiment with a higher gain setting. This preset is discussed on page 75.
thank you very much George.

Could you tell us more about the R30 and R22 trimmer, how to properly adjust R30 offset and how to properly adjust R22 ...? (with a screwdriver ... yes
...) where should we measure and how much?
thank you.
