fair enough, but this project is different though, its a collaboration its also a design that even though reworked, could not be sold on, at least in the EU, US, AUS, as it contains elements of a certain companies design, any attempt to "sell" these would cause problems.
it is for test and evaluation purposes only.
though understanding that, it makes sense that no lay or gerbers be posted for this, i fully support and endorse your position concerning this particular detector, as you say it is possible to build this with the info posted(for test and evaluation), a lay or gerber file would make it too easy, and for this design that's bad.
on reflection scs is right in this aspect and i apologise.

Well sinclair, We definitely see different versions of what is right and wrong.
I can see that this is a futile exercise in trying to school you. That no one is entitled to be given anything, a gift can only be given as a gift, and If
childish behavior is to be rewarded please feel free.

actually thomas, some users here have a "i've got something you cant have attitude", bernte one simply asked for the layout file, something expected here if serious participation is expected, he was refused, moreover he had his ability and person ridiculed.
every time he asked any info in this thread he got a similar response, its not for begginers etc, scs has a layout file he must have he posted a board earlier in the thread, so in not posting it for bernte one i can only conclude he has some sort of problem with him, it is a simple request.
this thread has rumbled along for ages now, there is lots of differing information, if this project has reached the point when its become nailed down and really works, then the most up to date files should be posted.
thats the schematic, the lay file, and the parts list, what you dont seem to understand is this stuff happens all the time, the users end up going back in the thread and using files that are not up to date, wasting time and components.
bernte one made a simple request in line with the forum, and got sneered at for his trouble.
then when silver dollar pointed it out, you jumped on him, hobbyists may well invest time and components without all the correct facts, those from a more professional background wont, its happened time after time here, and why some really good projects get ignored.
some users know this, which is why they hold back info, its not to put off newer members, its done because they see it as "their" project, its about ego's and has no place in a purely technical forum.

First off sinclair, I did not post the circuit.
Second - everything read on this web site is free, as is.
Third - it is not the responsibility of the poster to accommodate every readers wants.
Forth -he did post more then enough info to build this circuit, and as he said, "This schematic is NOT for beginners!".

I did not read about any boasts about the circuit.
Drip feed? what are you talking about?
Sliver Dollar has posted many Sch. and no one jumped him for not providing enough info. to make everyone happy.
Why is it you feel it's necessary to police the projects or the amount of details posted?
Is it now, post the whole project if you post a piece of a filter, or a front end?
This is not a business for everyone. So don't treat people like they are your workers.
I am just a beginning hobbyist, but thanks to those useless projects I can make my own layout, and I bet you can too.

If you had a really good friend he would give you a horse knowing that you didn't have much money, back then most people made less than a dollar a day. But if you were dumb enough to check the teeth of the horse to see how old it was, the owner would surely put a boot in your donkey, and tell you to get the hell off his land. Or the short version, don't be disrespectful to someone and say, that was not enough for free.

And a comment like "To say you have a great MD is silly and useless." proves the point.
i agree with silver dollar, there are far too many incomplete, and useless projects posted here, if its worthy of further investigation then post it if not dont, but dont boast about how good something is but not give complete details.
and dont come the getting something for free angle here, thats what we do, dont like it, dont post simple.
lots of users here are getting tired of the drip feed approach, we share info in whatever capacity we can, if you dont have complete details say so, and let others move on to more worth while projects.

Show us a schematic and or layout if you want to be helpful and participate here.

I found this layout on a Russian site but I'm not sure if it works...
    Thanks for sharing, Silver Dollar.

    Hi Bernard.

In my country we say: "One hand washes the other and both wash the face".

By the way, this project is based on the diagram MADE BY IVCONIC, right?
