it's not an easy project... not for anyone... but if one can do right no need of spend thousands eur anymore with commercial units!

depth test ? make one (working I mean) and see with your eyes!

koristim komp. vise od 10 god. star pa mi ne radi xp kako treba i ne mogu da instaliram skype na 2000.

Refering noise,hums,interefernces and intermodulations;
so as i noticed this design can suffer from all mentioned if pcb is not designed well. When designing it, man have to pay a lot of attention on certain components and stages and their orientation and position on pcb.
Recently i learned to use Sprint Layout 4.0 (with huge help from my dear friends Nakky and Ap Berg) and dared to try to draw more complex pcb, like this one for TGSL.
Why drawing new one when we already have hear nice TGSL "Goldy" pcb?
Simply i wanted to use CZ5 enclosure, left from one sadly burned Fisher CZ5.
So i used original CZ5 pcb sizes and redraw on empty sheet.
And i started...after few trial&errors somehow i managed to finish this.
Device ia already finished and tested. Wow! It is working noticeable better than "Goldy" and original (Kutrie post) pcb.
Now i can turn Sense pot fully to max. no chatters at all.
Distances rises up to 5% than on previous handmandes.
PCB perfectly matched into CZ5 enclosure...
I can post photos later.
For now here is pcb only...

thx. ivconic. while you post your reply i was typing mine.
now i realise that my coil is not well constrained cause i used very thin nails, and when i pul wire to get tighter woundings it deformsaround it. i will use thicker stuff like you use on your former, and ill expect better results. from day to day i realise how all those little steps in productioning of coil comes big in overall product. im gonna use shelacque instead of superglue on next one

evo jednog mog starog projekta, trenutno u pauzi. posto sam video na nekim ranijim postovima neku sliku koju si postavio. jel si ti pravio bugati? video sam takav, cak imam i sliku sa takvom replikom snimnjenom na parkingu kod sajma u bgu pre neku god.

Gagi, wish you success with that! I think you should constrain those bulky wires togather. Might reduce some noise there.

Gagi izvini sto se pravim englez, ali primetio sam negativne komentare kad god neko napise ceo post na maternjem jeziku. Jbga, moram postovati forum i clanove na njemu.
Prvo, moras staviti faradejev kavez na namotaje jer testovi bez toga nisu merodavni.
Drugo, zaista si mnogo "rascupao" zice na sve strane.Taj detektor je namcorast i hoce da sakuplja razne sumove i interference ako zice nisu kratke i ako nisu lepo slozene. A gde ima dosta suma tu ima i lose detekcije.
Trece..sonda,sonda i samo sonda... moras precizno da namotas sondu da namotaju imaju tacne induktivnosti, a narocito precizno da nulujes namotaje.
Na izvodima RX namotaja moras imati sto manji indukovani napon. Tesko i pipavo ali izvodljivo.

i dont know why it screams when i touch it, even on cable, and when i blow in coil it react also, maybe couse the coil aint finished yet?

its me again. i got 25 cm with 20 mm coin, a deodorant spray about 50 cm, but without faradey. does anybody know where can i find a foil for shielding. i tried before with kitchen foil earlier, and i read on this forum that it is too thick. what you guys used? ill take a picture and post it here very soon, as long you dont get the heart attack with my sloppyness.
