    all through hole connectors get a single pad on top side (adhesive copper foil) where i connect the with a wire
    that should save me a double layer board

    p.s .
    paku i will search my archive for pp circuit

    No schematic, it came as a lay file. I assume it is the same as TGSL Edu but maybe slight changes
    like the 4.7UF caps and Gain in the first stage...

    "so that is 2.2uf 4 pcs"
    Yes. 4 2.2uf nonpolarized caps. The layout guy must have figured it was easier to get
    those in nonpolarized. That is a different layout.

    I have a full SMT one. Here it is;

    Looks like 2.2 uf caps. By using 2 in parallel you get roughly 4.7 uf nonpolarised.

    my shielding is mylar - space blanket strips

    Tried space blanket. Looks great conductive on one side coating so thin you can see through it. Shield works well if the coil does not touch anything. Long damp grass the the coil is unusable. Dry grass usable but not good. Found that everything causes chatter even touching the headphone lead. Factory coil is fine

    Going to give it one more go. Pack the coil so the is a gap between the shield and the windings and as I wind the strip of the blanket make sure there is a small gap between each turn. Think any overlap between turns is acting as a capacitor.

    Flat card with carbon/graphite on it worked the best. As I was not planing to use a shell packaging is a problem for me.
    So you are recommending graphite spray
    Don't have that under my belt yet...
    Ivconic has one idea... he uses shiled in epoxy ... printer toner mixed with epoxy

    I have two layer of isolating tape... winding - tape - mylar - tape - hot glue (for now)

    three coils - first one was bad ... used some wierd glue and it shrunk after few days
