Hola @Virdi_248,
¿Dónde está su escudo Espaciado Gap?

Hello.
Yes. Placed on my reel

You are correct. Problem is solved by flipping over coil.Originally posted by geminis74 View Posthi, Dfbowers
I think you have the opposite RX input.
RX START input is not inverted (pin 5 lf 353)
END RX inverting input (pin 6 lf 353)
if dual-tone sound, then turn 180 º RX
greetings

wire connection of the arrow?
It is just that, that is my question.
Where is your Shield Spacing Gap?
Extract from @Ivconic's article: TGSL Coil Making.pdf
Regards,... At the end leave 5mm to 1cm gap. This is OBLIGATORY! Without gap you get NO Faraday shield. Worth nothing! ...

Look at colors.. does this help at all? Bare GROUND wire in cable goes to same connection as GREEN wire on PCB.Originally posted by Virdi_248 View Postdfbowers
¿Tiene el escudo a tierra como se documenta? quote] [/

What kind of wire do you use for connections to pots, switches, and even tx, rx coils? I see red insulated wires. Is it multi or single strand? What gauge do you like?
Stuff I use seems to fight me...

I have been using 22 AWG (stranded) from Radio Shack. I think it comes in a few different colors.

magnetic personality, or nice sensitive detector!Originally posted by Virdi_248 View PostFinally I put a shield. Problems, approached a finger to 1 mm of the coil or the wire and the detector makes false puffs.
All is well connected.
What's happening?

Mineral Free Soil, can be Wet Soil, causing higher capacitance interference with the Search Coil. Trees, shrubs, and vegetation can, and will cause problems. HF interference may (will) influence your MD via the Search Coil. HF interference is today a far bigger problem than it was in the past.Originally posted by Virdi_248 View PostIn mineral-free soil.
skip shield?
Why limit your search Coil to Ideal situations? What will you do when situations become less ideal? You will need two Coils, one with, and one without a Shield. If you want to go deeper, then why not build a larger Shielded Coil?
You will be gaining nothing by leaving the shield off, and loosing all if the situation becomes anything less than ideal. Concentrating on a GOOD Shield, has all the benefits and advantages that you will not want to miss out on.
Regards,
Robert
