I built two IDX and no work. PCB´s are from Silverdog. I tested the components and apparently are fine. I used the coils maxima 1500 from white's and the Spectrum XLT coil. I checked the supply voltage and correct. No sign of TX and the circuit makes sounds when my hand approached to the PCB. Both pcb have the same problem.
Can be the problem of the pcb?

Regards
Try Change NE5534 or check ALL off you ic and use new IC
when you on the IDX try put you hand to Transistor KSP 13 is hot or not and try put on ic Check Every IC is not going to hot
if the board have no short it will be ok

Now I finished my PCB, coil I make like in Silverdog`s manual for DD coils. I just wanna be sure, that I understand correct coil connection to PCB. Is this right?

Hi.. I hope this hasn't been asked before (I've been thru almost every thread here and didn't see it mentioned) but can someone suggest a replacement for the LMC6484? Is it necessary? I don't see it on silverdogs pcb of the idx-pro. I have access to the LMC6482MN will this work? Thanks ahead of time. One other thing.. has anybody built the vli using an arduino (atmega328p) ?

Use the parts as printed on the silverdogs website (click on the PCB board to zoom in) all the ICs are labeled with the location number (U1,U2 ectra) and part number.Originally posted by wlewis View PostHi.. It's a very good project. Everything works as it should. With a 27cm DD you get very good depth. I've been running a smaller 8" with good results. In all metal mode its very easy to pinppoint and the disc works as it should. The silverdog board is very high quality well worth getting if they ship to Mexico there is a kit as well. MPSA13 was the only thing that I could not fine cheap not realising that MPSA14 would be as good if not better.Originally posted by wlewis View Postthanks koala.. got it. U3 = LF347 etc. I'm definitely building this project.

Did you build your own DD? if so, do you have a schematic for the coils? The vid on YT of this project is impressive to say the least.. yesterday I worked on the parts list. About the Silverdog board, in that they don't answer emails it makes me doubt I'll actually the get the product I'm buying.. not to mention the fact I got permanently barred from paypal for selling tree bark (no joke) - which is Silverdogs only payment option. If you can contact Silverdog, please let them know that "PLIMUS" is an excellent alternative to paypal - works even better than paypal come to think of it. - Thanks for the tipsOriginally posted by Koala View PostWith a 27cm DD you get very good depth.
