Very good, how you distribute a frequency the Tr3-on. The two 1N4148 they are properly? Your coil may not be bad. Unless does not close ranks the two cables. This has to work. The two diodes were smoking at me away once, when I fastened a one 2,4 aH battery to the electronics. Why? Don't ask, i don't know.

1x1m. Wind 17 turns. Use wire with 1mm diameter. If the DC resistance is lower than 2.5 Ohm then connect a resistance in series, so to measure at the connector a dc resistance of 3.5 ohm (3 ... to 4 ohm is ok)

for example coca cola can about 1-1.2m
